Team Black Smoke had a great first outing of 2026 last week at Houghton University's spring dressage show.

Val & Hope competed WDAA Basic 1 and 2 with great scores and comments!! An exciting way to kick off the season.

Heather and Charlie made their dressage debut and Charlies show debut!! Charlie showed up like the perfect boy he is, and Heather rode him beautifully to some amazing scores. Im so proud of all the work they have put in together and I cant wait to see all the things they cam accomplish together 🥰

Blanket customers, its been a few years but due to rising costs and the purchase of a new washer there is a slight change in pricing effective for anything dropped off starting 5/10.

There is a one cost for all washes, no difference between sheets and blankets to simplify my invoicing. Waterproofing is a small $2 increase and I will be utilizing an "extra dirty" fee. This does not apply to the majority of stuff I see. However if there is excessive dirt, mud, hair, manure or urine soaking this will be applied. If you are questioning if yours is extra dirty and want to avoid a fee, run a hard brush over it to remove dirt/hair/manure 😄

With the good weather approaching I have received a ton of inquiries for lessons and boarding. At this time both lessons and board openings are working off of a waiting list. Our focus for the spring and summer will be on our current clients and horses.

Its been 7 years since we moved to the farm and started this journey. It has been so fun to build the community we have. Over the years we have completed a ton of projects, and still keep making plans for more!

The business has become exactly what I always envisioned. A quiet, happy place for horses and people. A community of all ages and horsey backgrounds together as friends/family.

Its been a busy few weeks and I forgot a formal introduction for this lovely lady.

Introducing Dalina, a 6 year old Hanoverian mare. She has had a very light start under saddle and im super excited to develop her further. Dalina has proven to have an exceptional disposition and personality so far 🥰
