Most days are such a whirlwind of cleaning, feeding, scooping, visitors, cats being dropped off and picked up, adoptions, and people dropping off all kinds of donations, which we pawsatively love!

And occasionally the unexpected generosity of our supporters overwhelms us. This family really hit us in the feels with a donation of food AND a monetary donation in honor of their recently passed matriarch, who used to love visiting the Lounge. How sweet is that!

What a purrfect way to honor their loved one! We are just so thankful they chose us! 😻

Today sadly is Ella's last day of volunteering. She has been one of our best and longest volunteers! She started volunteering at the beginning of her first year of high-school and, for some reason, she graduated this year. She is heading off to college and I feel like I'm sending off one of my own babies.

You would be hard pressed to find a teenager now-a-days who religiously gives up their entire Saturday for 4 years!!!

Ella, we are going to miss you terribly! I can't wait for you to get bored and come back every weekend 😽...

Our Mission

Our main focus is to have as many cats and kittens as possible adopted by loving families. We can’t think of a better way to showcase our residents’ personalities than our cage free lounge where you can visit and play with your future BFK (Best Friend Kitty)!

Being so close to George Mason University gives us the opportunity to be a place where students can come and spend some time relaxing with our cats.

Even though we are a for-profit company, our goal is not to make money. When a cat is adopted, the full amount of the adoption fee remains with the rescue. We charge an entry fee to cover our operating expenses.

We are not allowed to serve food due to health department regulations, however, you are welcome to bring in food and drinks purchased at University Mall on the day of your visit. Just bring your receipt!
