Meet Sunshine, our little miss sunshine who has overcome incredible challenges to shine brighter than ever! This sweet yellow lab mix, weighing under 30 pounds, has a heart of gold. Despite a tragic past where she was abandoned and shot, Sunshine's resilience knows no bounds. After a double amputation, she now dashes around with boundless joy, embracing every moment of life. She adores dogs, kids, and even cats, radiating love and playfulness.

Sunshine requires a home where someone can be present most of the time to cater to her extra special needs. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this extraordinary girl?

Meet Desoto! This 11-month-old pup is looking for a forever home! He LOVES long naps and cuddles. He is pretty low-energy and rarely barks. Desoto is good with strangers and other dogs but prefers to stay away from cats and other small animals. Currently he is working on his house training but is a very quick learner. Meet one of our amazing fosters, Sara! Sara has been fostering for about 8 months and says she became a foster because she has rescue dogs and her family always had adopted dogs so she wanted to help out. She notes that being patient and loving the pups are the two most important things to remember when working as a foster. One of Sara’s favorite foster memories is seeing one of her more nervous pups jump around and play with toys and generally being happy after being so nervous. One thing that surprised Sara after starting to foster is how much fun it is spending time with the dogs, even when she sees them moving into their forever homes.

TLBD is thankful for all dog fosters! Our rescue group would not be here without them!

Meet Pepper! Pepper really understood the assignment when we asked for a cute photo and then a silly photo. This sweet girl is a 3.5 month old lab mix and is looking for an active home where she can play with her family (human or dog). 📢 Calling all TLBD supporters, adopters, and fellow dog lovers!

We have an update about our incredible long-term resident, the beautiful Garrett. Garrett arrived in our care 2.5 years ago as a snuggly and dog-friendly boy, but he faced some challenges. When faced with things he didn't agree with, such as handling his paws or putting on his harness, he would resort to attempted biting. Despite these behavioral hurdles, Garrett's devoted long-term foster stood by his side and we are so thankful.

In our unwavering commitment to Garrett and his potential, we made a momentous decision. This May, we enrolled him in a highly sought-after three-week Board and Train program, providing him with an exceptional training opportunity valued at an incredible $5,000. Currently, Garrett is receiving the finest education, honing his skills and abilities.

We've poured our hearts into this remarkable dog because we firmly believe he deserves a second chance. Now, we turn to our beloved community for assistance in finding Garrett his forever home.

Garrett has come a long way in his journey. He is fully house-trained, crate-trained, e-collar trained, and off-leash trained. His happy temperament, eagerness to please, and love for cuddles make him an absolute joy to be around. With a curious spirit and a passion for exploring during walks, every adventure with Garrett becomes an unforgettable experience. He’s friendly with other dogs of all sizes and people as well. He loves greeting all the people and dogs at the dog parks he visits.

We seek an experienced owner who can maintain the training Garrett has received during his stay. The adopter will also be required to attend his "go home" session from training camp, scheduled for the end of May. Rest assured, we will provide necessary resources to ensure a smooth transition into his new home.

Please, help us spread the word and share Garrett's story. Let's join forces to find this deserving boy the loving forever home he so truly deserves. Together, we can make a difference in his life.
