Originally rescued all the way from Oman, she's now ready to share her love with a human who she can call her own. Sugar loves to play with her favorite toys and is always eager to show affection. Lives saved today! Rescue isn’t just about the easy ones. It’s about showing up for the ones who need us most. Today, we welcomed four very deserving souls to safety: dogs Willow and Briggs and two kittens found outdoors. ❤️

Willow came to the shelter as an owner surrender, and she is significantly overweight. She is such a sweet dog with so much good living ahead of her! With proper care, patience, and a little TLC, Willow’s future is looking brighter already. 🐾

And then there’s Briggs… A sweet Yorkie, and 15 years old! At just 7 pounds, this senior boy has limited sight due to cataracts, but he still gets around well. Sadly, his owner died, and Briggs was all alone and confused at the shelter. Senior years deserve comfort, love, soft beds, and gentle hands. 🐾

Ooh, and the tiny kittens, just 4 to 5 weeks old and in need of so much TLC. They are currently receiving baths, combing to remove the burrs from their fur, eye meds, warmth, food and love. 🐾

These are the dogs and kittens rescue is truly about. The overlooked. The vulnerable. The ones who need someone to believe they still matter. And we do!! Thank you for your support! 💝

CAPTION THIS! ... It's so hard on a dog when a loving owner dies. Luckily, we heard about Maggie and her companion Elmo and rescued both of them. Maggie has never met a stranger. She is wonderful with children, adults, and all creatures. Her foster family adores her and for good reason: She is a gem!! She loves getting attention and affection, and she waits patiently for people to pet her. Maggie is fully housetrained and never chews on anything inappropriate. She has perfect house manners. PUPDATE! 🐾 Remember the mom and five puppies HART rescued on National Rescue Dog Day? The pups are doing great. Each little nugget gets a daily weigh-in safely tucked into bowls on the scale because they’re still so tiny. 🥰 Mom is now Millie and the pups are Moose, Marley, Merrick, Minnie and Mocha. 😍 Daily weight checks for puppies and kittens are important and help us make sure they are all growing, thriving, and getting the nutrition they need. ❤️🐶 Enjoy this cuteness overload! ...

One look at gorgeous puppy Millie and you know you need to meet her! This sweet girl gives whole-body hugs, even to strangers. She is a quick learner and knows "sit" and is working on "shake."
