Gracie here – yes, STILL here! She has seen many kitties getting adopted, but she is passed over because she is so shy when a new person enters the room. This beautiful, affectionate girl just needs to get to know you a little, after which time she truly enjoys being petted! She gets along well with other cats, and will make a wonderful companion for any home. She came to the shelter from a hoarding situation and would like nothing better now than to find her special human who will give her the one-on-one attention she deserves – are you her special human? An Important Update from Our Shelter

Today, we received the vet bill for the dogs who recently battled parvo—totaling over $33,000, with additional costs still expected. This is an incredibly heavy burden for our shelter, both emotionally and financially.

Despite all of our precautions and tireless efforts, we’ve had two more confirmed cases. Thankfully, both dogs are currently responding well to treatment.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to our community, our volunteers, animal control officers, and everyone who has supported us through this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, donations, and encouragement have helped us stay strong as we continue working to contain this outbreak and protect the animals in our care.

Thank you for standing with us. We truly couldn’t do this without you. 💛🐾

With all the bad that’s been happening at our shelter, we have another heartwarming story. Ricky was reunited with his owner after a whole month! His owner didn’t know we had him and since Ricky didn’t have a microchip we couldn’t contact him. He finally found us and found his boy! To say Ricky was happy is an understatement! Microchip your pets, it makes all the difference!

Asher — a brave, beautiful boy and a true parvo survivor. 💪🐾 He’s fought through the hardest days with so much strength, and we’re thrilled to share that he’s doing amazingly well. 🐶❤️

Asher is:
✅ House trained
✅ Exceptionally sweet and friendly
✅ Toy-obsessed (in the best way!)
✅ Great with other dogs
❌ Not a fan of cats
⚡️ Full of playful energy and love to give

Asher has been through more than most dogs ever will — but his heart is still wide open. He’s ready for the next chapter: a loving forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and finally just be a dog again. 💙
