Did you know that August 15 is National Check the Chip Day? It's a perfect time to make sure your pet is a) microchipped and b) that the microchip has up-to-date information!

Microchips are the most permanent form of identification for a dog. Microchips help us reunite lost pets at Cleveland Animal Care & Control all the time! Making speedy reunions is especially important when the kennel is so full.

You can get your pet microchipped for $25 at the Cleveland Kennel! Just call ahead at 216-664-3060.

Ohio offers "pet-friendly" specialty license plates to support animal welfare programs. These plates, available for cats, dogs, and general pet lovers, are a way for Ohioans to contribute to spaying and neutering programs.. The plates can be purchased for a $25 fee, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Ohio Pet Fund.
