The crew at The Love Aquarium has more than 30 years of combined experience in retail aquarium service and can help you to find your own piece of joy by creating a custom display. We are also pleased to offer a number of aquarium services, including aquarium maintenance, aquascaping, custom aquarium displays, consulting, and aquarium education. One of my favorite customers to visit! We have so many unique and interesting people that come see us, one being my 92 year old Dutch pal Franciscus! He's been breeding fish for longer than most people reading this have been alive. Yes even you haha. Amazing guy. Musician, artist, rocket scientist (really), aquarist... Fish tanks just bring us all together, but when we move past that, you can learn some pretty cool things about each other, aside what fish they might keep. Here's some shots of my recent visit to his lovely home and yard. Koi fish, giant Amazonian sword plants, butterflies, caterpillars, orchids (my fave!), and of course baby angels! We have a ton of his precious little angels still at the shop right now, a batch he was particularly impressed with, so come by and check them out!

Coral and plant sale this weekend! I guess we'll start it Friday, just because I love all you people. 20% off all corals and plants, including mother pots! Gotta make some room for next week's goodies from and . We even got some super sweet air plants a few days ago, just in case you're still looking for a house plant you can't kill. I believe in you. I think.

We got some pretty cool cultured corals this week from our sw supplier and we're pretty stoked! I don't think I've ever seen a micro goniopora quite like that green Zen Garden frag and these stylocoeniellas have some pretty sweet colors mixed into their tiny polyps. I'm surprised they're still here after the busy weekend we had! I guess that means they're waiting just for you!

Calling all business owners! I try to make use of our aquatic Love Aquarium community to help others from time to time with things like food drives, etc. But this time is a little different. My dad, pictured here with me after putting down the floor in our tank room, is now president of one of our local Rotary clubs. For those who don't know, Rotary is an international service organization doing many great things to help communities all over the world. Quick example, they helped eliminate polio around the globe!

The Escondido "After 5" club is holding a fundraiser so they can keep doing great things within our community. They are looking for silent auction items for their event, which can be anything from experiences ( certificates for spa treatments, rounds of golf, plane tickets, etc) to items like wine baskets, guitars, or something else of value that people might bid on to raise money for their mission.

If you'd like to help out, feel free to call the store or message me about what you would like to donate (Rotary is a 501c3 non profit and donations are tax deductible! ) or better yet, e mail my dad Doug Sr. At [email protected] There are also sponsorships avaliable that include tickets to the event.

We have a pretty awesome community of fish folks rolling through our shop so let's do what we can to spread the love and help out our city! Thank you all.
