Nesta🌸

This 10 month old Yorkshire Terrier was surrendered to us and will be 👀 for a place to call her own when she’s ready. 💛 She’s full of personality, sweetness, and spunky energy, and we’re so excited to watch her continue to learn and grow with us! ✨🐶

So proud of team Tucker. Tucker needed to work on a few things in order to pass his therapy dog testing. We got to work and we received the good news that he rocked the test! So excited for everything Tucker is going to do with his owner!

This beautiful little (not for long 😉) Cane Corso girl has already stolen our hearts, and we cannot wait to watch her blossom and grow with us. 💛 From tiny puppy moments to building confidence and social skills, we’re so excited to be part of her journey! 🐶✨

☀️ HOT WEATHER = EXTRA CARE FOR OUR PUPS⚠️

As temperatures rise, please remember that heat can be dangerous for dogs in more ways than one — not just overheating, but also burns from hot surfaces.

🐾 Hot pavement alert: Asphalt, concrete, and sand can become dangerously hot even when air temps feel “okay.”

* At ~85°F, pavement can reach about 130°F
* At ~90°F, it can hit 140–150°F+
That’s hot enough to burn paw pads in seconds.

Quick test: If you can’t comfortably hold the back of your hand on the ground for 5–7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

A few summer safety reminders:
💧 Always provide fresh, cool water
🌳 Make sure your dog has access to shade
🚶‍♀️ Walk early morning or late evening when temps are lower
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car — even for a minute
🔥 Avoid hot pavement, especially during peak heat hours (10am–6pm)

Signs of burned paws include limping, licking/chewing feet, redness or darkened pads, and reluctance to walk.
