🩷🐾We are starting to pick up a lot of new clients from Pooler! Yay!!! There are many Dogs & Cats there in need of a good caring Groomer. Y’all have found her!!
I got curious to see how far we were from Pooler exactly and we are pretty close, it’s quiet and peaceful here and seems further but SO CLOSE!
Wow! I LOVE it!! ❤️ 🐾

🧭 🗺️ We are only 8 MILES - 12 MINUTES from POOLER CITY HALL!
Straight Down HWY 80 - then you can only make a left on Meldrim Road - then almost 1 MILE and you are here! Meldrim Rd is 5th St - we are right at where it changes 😁 On your right you will see the 6 foot privacy fence first with our sign ( The mini doggie park is hiding behind it) 😆🩷🐾🐶🎾

Now that I’m doing the grooming side by myself a lot it’s important not to be more than 5-10 min. early for your appointment. I work on other dogs and have other check ins when it’s not someone’s appointment time. I hate when a client has to wait, but I have to work on other dogs when it’s not a check in time. So many people have been early and late, all I can do is plan on appointment times in between the actual grooming work. I’m posting this because this has been a big deal. I have clients getting upset because they have to wait but if I have a dog in the tub or finishing a hair cut (their parents already have a pick up time) and someone is 30-45 minutes early I’m stuck with that dog until I finish. I have to map out grooming work in between check in times and check outs. I’m always on time these days. I’ve worked hard to figure things out to be on time and finishing at a good time. I don’t work till 9:00-10:00 anymore. I don’t have to constantly train anyone anymore but the only thing I haven’t quit got figured out is what to do when people are early/late and knowing when I have enough clients for the availability I have, because most clients don’t want to book ahead. So I take new clients in and then I don’t have an appointment always right away for my clients that I’ve been grooming for years.

2 things I’m trying to work on to make things better for my clients is: clients not being so early and making everyone’s appointments at their check ins. If we can do that there will always be availability for my clients and I can get the haircut dogs done asap and not have them here as long as I did before I made some changes. Thank y’all so much for understanding and for staying with Paws to the Wall all these years through all the changes and me learning LOL. I wasn’t always a business owner/groomer. I have learned a lot over these 5 years and made changes to make it better 🙂🐾🩷

What it’s come down to after my surgery and Groomers telling people I’m closed for good is:

1. Cutting my assistant and Daycare attentant’s hours almost laying off (after I finally got a good trained person)

2. Started taking a list of clients that have always came to me since finding me. So I can know exactly how many and when their dogs need to be groomed so I can always groom them.
*******************************
Taking advantage of someone’s awful situation is a very nasty thing to do.
When I came back grooming after just 5 weeks (early) in my recovery it was because I really needed to and was scared of what would happen to the business if I didn’t.
I was talking to 1-5 people every day for about 2 month that said “OMG I CANT BELIEVE YOURE OPEN, I thought you were closed! The groomer where we went said you were closed for good.”
I don’t even talk to or know any groomers around here. I’m followed by some but I don’t know anyone and they did not know my situation.

I OWN MY SALON AND WILL NEVER QUIT. I might have to work somewhere part time and groom my long time clients Saturday-Monday, but I love what I do and can’t stop.

If you want to help please share some reels and post (the music ones do the best) to get the word out that I’m OPEN! Thank y’all so much!

So many thank yous from this guy!! He has the BEST personality and was soo good for grooming 😂🐾🩷

I had a client today cuss at me because he couldn’t get through our gate and I couldn’t come out and get his “mutt” because I had a dog in the tub and he was 30 MINUTES early. As groomers we prepare for our next to come in and for picks after we call, around all of our daily work load. I can not afford to pay someone to just sit at the counter for clients to come at anytime. I wish.
The locked gate is what I give most credit to that no dogs or people have gotten hurt here EVER! 5 years of going the extra mile to make sure everything is covered.
I was ready for the man 10 minutes before his appointment time. He was still very nasty to me and told me this might be the last dog I ever groom. So I asked him to pull out and never come back.

I just wanted to thank every client that understands and appreciates our safety protocols that we have in place for our set up here. We are always on time and that is not easy juggling our work loads. Also Allowing approved dogs at times to come out and takes breaks is not easy and time consuming but I know they have a great time here and I would like to keep doing it.

I needed that appointment too. Things have not been back to normal since my surgery, but I just can’t allow somebody to treat us like that.
