Went through to give everyone that's going to the show this Sunday a check over and give them fresh water. Kinda funny how frequently I'll slide open a tub and think I should keep this one.

Picked up 6 vision enclosures for adults. Will be nice to house a couple grumpy females in these.

Took Sirius in to Hodes Animal Clinic this morning to inspect that swollen area near his vent. Doc thinks it's cloacitis, and recommends I keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't recede fully he'll give Sirius an injection...

Had one of the kids snap some pix for me of Sirius while I held him. Not a bad looking boy IMO. He's 11 years old currently.

Keeping live animals has its ups and downs. Has scares, worries, dealing with ill animals, requiring work to get them healthy. Sirius, my super stud, Sharp Albino has a tendency to rub his nose every breeding season, so he's no stranger to vet visits and getting antibiotics. He has a new problem now.

It appears he has a swollen gland below the cloaca and to the side. First glance looks like a swollen hemipene. I do not believe that is the case. It doesn't line up with the right position for that. I believe it might be an infected gland. So looks like a vet visit is in order.

I believe it's rather uncomfortable, as he's usually a very laid back boy, but proceeded to voice his displeasure while I was investigating the spot.

Curious for input on suggested shows to vend in the Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Missouri area. Would like to make vending shows a regular occurrence.

Over the next week or so I will finally get some animals listed on morph market, and if I can find another reasonable site I'll give them a try also. May post on the show me market place.

The Salina show weekend has come and gone. Feel really tired, but had a good time. Enjoyed meeting many new vendors and speaking to a bunch of reptile keepers, and potential reptile keepers of the future. If you purchased something from me, I thank you. If you stopped and spent some time talking with me, I thank you. The hobby is a really fun and important part of my life, and I'm grateful to get to share it with other people.
