Congratulations to our beautiful Abilene who finally found her forever home this morning! Abi came to us after the Texas floods last year and has been a chunky little sassy-pants ever since, but we knew it was only a matter of time before she found her perfect person! She will be the only cat in the house, her new dad works from home but knows to give her some space when she wants it and isn’t bothered by a grumpy nip every now and again! She’s going to be so happy in a home by herself where she can be independent but get the love she deserves when she wants it, we’re delighted for her and thankful to have had so much time with her!

Meet Cinderelly!

This lovely girl has been with Friends of Cats for quite some time, patiently waiting for the right cat-savvy person to understand her. 💕 She’s independent, sensitive to change, and needs someone who can read feline body language and give her the time and space to build trust at her own pace.

Once she feels safe, her affection shows in quiet, meaningful ways--choosing to sit near you, offering soft purrs, and simply enjoying your calm companionship. 🐾

She’s looking for a patient, experienced adopter who appreciates a cat with personality and boundaries. If you find it especially rewarding to help a shy, sweet kitty blossom, she just might be the perfect feline for you. ❤️

FINALLY! After over a month of closure due to our re-roofing project, new HVAC system installation and discovery of major plumbing problems along the way, we are finally getting ready to open our doors to the public again! From Tuesday August 11th onwards we will be open our regular hours, 10am to 4pm (10-3:30 are the adoption hours) every day of the week besides Mondays. We can’t wait to welcome visitors, volunteers and adopters alike back into our lovely (and now cool!) main building!
Please note: due to the plumbing works affecting flooring and sinks in our bathroom, we will not be able to make our bathroom available to the public for the time being. We do have a portapotty on site which is available for anyone to use.

🎉Friends of Cats Shelter Reopening on Tuesday, August 11th!🎉

We are excited to announce that our temporary closure has come to an end! We will officially reopen the shelter on Tuesday, August 11th, at 10:00 am.

The kitties have missed you dearly and are looking forward to your visits. We can’t wait to welcome you back--hope to see you soon! 🐾🐱
