I'm using Easy Green liquid fert and root tabs in my 29 g with coarse sand as substrate. My tap water is high in nitrate - up to 40ppm, but my aquarium water is through the roof. 80 or 160 or even more. Can the ferts up my nitrates? Ammonia and nitrite are zero. I'm starting to do water changes with bottled spring water, but am considering RO or...something. Not sure what to do. With my tap water, water changes are not going to help much.
Good morning folks. Question I have a aqueon 50,if I replaced the cartridge filter with bio rings and a pre sponge filter is it better and will it not cause over flow?
Do external open = With lid on bio filters smell
Hi All, I have just joined the group and look forward to some good posts, videos and community help. Thanks Pete J from the UK.
I was watching Cory's video on using coarse sponge in your filter rather than the disposable filters. I have a Whisper filter where the intake is at the bottom. I started wondering if I could put a sponge filter there as well. Does anyone have any in-put on that?..Thanks
Flip the Fahaka Puffer
Just got my first order of supplies from Aquarium Co-op after reading all the good recommendations in different fish Facebook groups. They have a new regular customer. 😃
Sorry if links aren't allowed, I just want to know if these people are legit
I am in Washington state and aqua huna who you partner with does not ship to Wa. Where can I get quality fish without going to a box store for half dead fish? The small aquarium shop here closed last year.
Thank you Cory. Watching Aquarium Co-op YouTube videos even from a couple of years ago has help me so much. I recently went through a alge bloom, started freaking out about clarity, I waited it out for 13 days and its getting back to normal.
Alright guys, about two weeks ago I got all new goldfish. Put them into an already exsisting cycled tank that had been fishless for about a month. I had treated them with general cure (3 doses) the meds have been out of the tank I’d say at least 5 days now. But my fish are still flashing. I’m attaching a video. My water parameters are good (nitrates are low because of all the water changes I’ve been doing) should I treat again with general cure? Should I treat with just prazipro so it’s not so harsh? Or would something else cause them to flash other than parasites? (0 signs of ich) treat for something bacterial? Would that cause flashing?
Thanks for your videos I have learned alot. Keep it up and god bless.
