Sometimes a good day requires a little mud. Just ask River!

River spent some time in the creek today and came back wearing just a little more of Orcas than he left with. Fortunately, our animal shelter has two community dog wash stations.

Orcas Animal Shelter provides the choice between a warm water wash outside or a raised indoor tub. The dog wash is available by donation, making it an easy way to keep your pup from looking like River while supporting animals in our community.

River rates our dog wash stations a 10/10, because sometimes the best adventures are the messiest ones.

In a true community effort, Levi, the dog who swam from Patos Island to Orcas Island today, has been safely reunited with his family. He is tired and a little scraped up, but thankfully in overall good condition.

Thanks to the many heroes who helped along the way, Levi is safely back where he belongs tonight. What an incredible community we live in!
