🐾💔 TWO SISTERS. TWO VERY DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES. ONE DESPERATE PLEA FOR HELP. 💔🐾
💕 Meet Truffle Puff and Dory! 💕
These two beautiful 5-month-old sisters have been with us since they were just 8 weeks old. They have spent most of their young lives growing up in a shelter, watching the world go by, waiting for someone to choose them.
And sadly, that wait is beginning to take its toll. 💔
🌸 Truffle Puff is everything you would expect from a happy, outgoing kitten! She is loving, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. She sees the world as one big adventure and everyone she meets as a potential new friend.
🌷 Dory, however, sees the world a little differently.
Where Truffle Puff sees excitement, Dory sees uncertainty. Where her sister runs toward new experiences, Dory wants to hide from them.
Dory is shy. She is scared. Loud noises and unfamiliar situations overwhelm her. And while her sister is busy enjoying life, Dory is still trying to figure out if the world is a safe place.
And right now, the shelter is making that harder for her. 💔
The constant sounds, unfamiliar faces, barking dogs, and stress of kennel life are beginning to affect Dory's well-being. Her anxiety has become severe enough that she is now experiencing gastrointestinal issues.
She isn't thriving here anymore.
And that absolutely breaks our hearts.
Because we know there is another Dory hiding underneath all that fear. A sweet, loving little girl who desperately wants to feel safe enough to let her guard down.
But she needs someone willing to give her the one thing we cannot give her enough of in a busy shelter: TIME. ❤️
Time to hide when she feels overwhelmed.
Time to learn the sounds and routines of a home.
Time to realize that the hands reaching toward her are there to offer love.
Time to understand that she doesn't have to be afraid anymore.
And most importantly, someone who won't give up on her when she doesn't immediately become the affectionate kitten they hoped for.
We aren't going to sugarcoat it. Dory may spend the first few months hiding. She may not want to be held or petted right away. There will be days when progress feels slow.
But imagine being the person who gets to witness that first moment when she finally feels safe.
The first time she approaches you on her own.
The first time she curls up beside you.
The first time she looks at you and realizes she is finally home. 🥹❤️
🏡 WHAT THESE GIRLS NEED:
🐾 A quiet, patient, loving home.
🐾 Preferably no young children or dogs, as Dory is easily startled by loud noises.
🐾 Someone who will embrace Truffle Puff's outgoing, affectionate personality while allowing Dory to blossom at her own pace.
🐾 Someone who understands that trust isn't always given freely. Sometimes it has to be earned, one gentle moment at a time.
We would love nothing more than to see these sisters find a home together.
Truffle Puff is ready to love you today. Dory needs you to love her while she learns how to trust you tomorrow.
💔 Please don't let these girls spend the rest of their kittenhood growing up behind kennel doors.
Dory doesn't need someone to fix her. She needs someone to understand her.
She doesn't need a perfect home. She needs a peaceful one.
And she doesn't need a hero with a cape.
She just needs someone willing to say, "It's okay, little girl. You're safe now. Take all the time you need." ❤️
