Jeannine Wilman, co-owner and Dog Trainer at Pack Academy has over seven years of experience helping dogs overcome fear reactivity, aggression, and socialization issues. in Psychology and a background in Applied Behavioral Science, she brings a unique, science-based approach to training. ion lies in helping dogs of all backgrounds thrive and supporting families as they build strong, positive relationships with their pets. Her compassionate, customized training plans are rooted in ongoing education and real-world experience, ensuring every dog can flourish in a supportive and balanced environment. Diana Suarez, co-owner and dog trainer at Pack Academy, joined as a partner in 2022 after apprenticing with Jeannine Wilman. Her background in Chinese medicine and experience as a professional Tango dancer gives her a unique ability to connect with dogs through energy flow and nonverbal communication. Specializing in potty training, basic commands, and leash training, she uses proven dog training methods with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement to make training effective and enjoyable. Diana is committed to building trust and strengthening the bond between dogs and their families.

We’re so grateful to Ruby’s amazing family for driving all the way from Atlanta to bring her to our Board & Train program! 💜

They’ve already done such a great job building her foundation — working with a local trainer to strengthen her obedience skills and exposure. But they knew Ruby needed more support to address the core issue: her fear-based reactivity.

Reactivity isn’t about your dog being “bad” or “out of control.”
It’s about a dog who’s trying to cope in the only way they know how—usually because they are stressed, overstimulated, or unsure of what is expected.

We see it all the time: a dog that’s sweet at home turns into a lunging, barking tornado the second they step outside.
Here’s the truth: you don’t need to punish it out of them—you can guide them through it.

Reactivity is a symptom, not a personality trait.
And the fix isn’t just yelling “leave it” louder—it’s teaching them how to stay calm when the world feels overwhelming.

✨ 3 Ways to Calm Reactivity—Without Punishment or Overwhelm:

1- Routine is Regulation
A dog that knows what to expect is a dog that feels safer. Create predictable daily structure: walk, train, rest, decompress. It builds emotional stability.

2- Teach Pressure = Guidance, Not Conflict
Use the leash or low-level e-collar to gently guide your dog before they escalate. Pressure is not punishment—when layered calmly with direction, it helps the dog learn how to turn off stress and stay engaged with you.

3- Walk Like a Leader
If you’re anxious, hyped, or unsure, they feel it. Breathe, move with purpose, and communicate clearly. Calm body, calm dog.

You don’t need to control your dog through force—you need to teach them how to choose calm over chaos.
