ANGEL UPDATE 🚩
Wanted to give everyone an update on Max, the young dog who unfortunately suffered so many injuries at no fault of his own, due to a person with a weed-eater. The infection is still currently being treated and we have new tissue growth. As of now, the infection is responding, and we are controlling pain and keeping this little guy comfortable. He still has a long, costly road ahead of him and any small amount helps.
He does have a very loving family that paid a portion of treatments, but unfortunately wounds of this magnitude take quite a bit of treatment and hospitalization. We appreciate all of you and the heart of our community for these precious babies!

We have confirmed cases of this disease in cats in eastern Ky. It’s not a new disease but we have seen multiple cases, both confirmed and suspect in cats this year already. Tick prevention like Revolution Plus, Credelio for cats and Seresto collars are the best protection against this disease. Many affected cats die even with treatment. We have a few survivors, but it is so important just to prevent your cat from getting sick! Since Rabies is becoming a threat again in Ky also, veterinary care is even more important than ever to keep your pets and your family safe.

🚩ANGEL ALERT🚩

Everyone meet Max. Unfortunately Max was attacked by someone using a weedeater, that caused very serious damage to his little body. Max, is fighting hard against the infection due to these wounds. We are looking at a significant amount of hospitalization and medications , prior to max being a candidate for drain insertion and a possible closure procedure.

Max’s owners are devastated and doing all that they can but unfortunately this is going to be a very costly few weeks for this little guy. He’s so young , not even a year old yet and so incredibly sweet. This sweet boy needs our help!

*it’s that time of year and although puppies and kittens are adorable, they almost always come in multiples, and that can be a lot of additional care requirements. We are contacted daily for assistance in placing abandoned puppies, kittens, and strays. With shelters and rescues over flowing we always encourage you to consider spay and neutering to prevent unwanted pregnancy, those inconvenient heat cycles, and future medical risks.

These guys and their cousins are wreaking havoc in our cats this summer. We are seeing very sick cats from diseases obtained from tick bites. Some can be treated and some do NOT respond to treatment. Please keep flea and tick control on your cats even if they go outdoors rarely. We have Revolution Plus in clinic and you can order Credelio for cats or a Seresto collar on our online store from our website. It is too important to not protect your felines babies!!
(As per Ky state law, pets must be current on their yearly visit in order for us to dispense medications.)

As most know we truly take pride in bridging the gap in times of need.

We have been contacted by a prominent community member who is working to help a family with some pet food. These individuals have unfortunately fallen on hard times and respectfully reached out for assistance in time of need.

It is proven that animals help individuals with promoting happiness while proactivly reducing depression, anxiety, loneliness, and provide support for a list of other mental and emotional disorders.

❤️So we are coming to you, with a request to assist with providing dog food to a family, working to rebuild. Who desperately want to keep their pet but needs a little assistance during this time.
