We are hiring! Looking for a full time staff member that can do 4 days a week 6:45a to 530p (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with an hour lunch). This is a high energy job that requires a love of pups and taking care of them!

We are looking for someone with experience preferred but we can train on the job. Would prefer someone motivated to learn how to train dogs but are also ok with a high quality kennel attendant to help watch the dogs and clean the facility.

Please email [email protected] with a resume to apply!

Make sure your puppies are up to date on their distemper series!

We received the following alert from Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources about multiple canine distemper cases in puppies that were imported by shelter/rescue groups. Read the full alert at https://www.massvet.org/news/canine-distemper-cases

Remember that canine distemper is a complicated disease and can manifest with varying clinical signs. If you see respiratory signs, GI signs, tremors, FUOs in shelter animals or recently adopted pups, please recommend appropriate isolation and keep canine distemper high on your list of rule outs. Hi everyone! This is Abby O'Brien with K9 to 5. I just wanted to annouce we are starting Happy Ratter classes this week and will have Barn Hunt running by the end of the month.

What is Happy Ratters?
Happy Ratters is a similar sport where dogs work to identify and alert to the presence of rats safely contained in hidden tubes in an "urban" setting (trash bags, boxes and barrels and other items possibly found in a city alley, with the big difference being this is clean trash, new bags with shredded paper, clean boxes, etc.).

Our Story

Daycare, Boarding and Dog Training and Behavior Modification! Basic Obedience, Intermediate Obedience, AKC Canine Good Citizen Training and Testing, Trick training, Search and Rescue, Scent detection available. We also have a retail section that offers quality treats, toys and more.

K9 to 5 originally started in 2007 with only boarding, then in 2008 Jacqui Pierce took over ownership of the name and expanded her training/behavior modification programs. It had always been the dream to create a daycare, boarding, and training facility that encompassed our passion for allowing dogs to be dogs - no kennels, several indoor yards (so that our New England weather does not dampen any dogs having a safe and fun day at camp) and an open concept, allowing parents to see all to feel comfort in knowing their dog is in a safe environment. We also allow daycare/boarding parents to access our indoor cameras so they can watch their furbaby in action.
