ROSIE IS STILL WAITING FOR HER PERSON.

We really thought Rosie’s next chapter was finally beginning, but unfortunately, the foster placement wasn’t able to work out. So once again, Rosie is looking for someone to give her a chance.

And we know we’ve posted Rosie before. We know she has some very specific needs. But we also know that somewhere out there is the person who is going to look at Rosie and say, “That’s my dog.”

Rosie is a beautiful, strong, goofy girl who has so much love to give. She absolutely loves her people and would be happiest being someone’s one-and-only.

She is:
• Wonderful with adults and children
• Fully house trained
• Crate trained
• Non-destructive when left alone
• Spayed, vaccinated and microchipped
• Heartworm-free and has completed treatment
• A big fan of car rides
• Happy to spend her days hanging out with her human

Rosie needs to be the only pet in the home — no dogs or cats. She also needs someone who understands that she thrives with patience, consistency and routine.

We know Rosie isn’t going to be the right dog for everyone.
But she doesn’t need everyone.
She just needs ONE person to choose her.

Rosie has been waiting long enough for her forever home. If you’ve been looking for a dog who wants nothing more than to be your best friend, maybe Rosie is the one you’ve been waiting for.

We don't rescue the easy ones — and this September, we're asking Detroit to run for them. 🐾

Together We Run 5K takes over Kensington Metropark on September 19th, benefiting Together We Rescue Detroit Animals — the foster-based rescue for the dogs and cats other places turn away. Heartworm positive. Behavioral challenges. Senior animals. We take the cases nobody else will.

Here's how the morning goes:
🥞 8:00 AM — Arrival, check-in & breakfast
🏃 9:00 AM — 5K starts
🍽️ 11:00 AM — Lunch for everyone
🥤 Drinks all morning, plus prizes, gift bags, and games

$30 to register. Runners, walkers, and dogs on leash all welcome.

Zoro was adopted once and returned for separation anxiety — but that’s not a dealbreaker, it just means he needs someone who’s got the patience (and maybe the schedule) to help him feel secure. ✨ MEET ROSIE — formerly Reyna! ✨

Some dogs just need a fresh start — and we think it’s time for hers. 💗

After months of being overlooked, we’ve decided our girl deserves a new name and a new chapter. Reyna is officially Rosie! 🌹

Rosie is a small, short little girl — only about 2 feet tall — but she has SO much love to give. She’s 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm-free, and has recovered beautifully from treatment.

She’s house trained, crate trained, non-destructive, loves people and kids, enjoys car rides, walks, playtime, and of course, snuggles. 🥹

Rosie does need to be the only pet in the home, but honestly? She’s more than enough dog all on her own. ❤️

She’s been waiting since March. We refuse to let another month go by without finding her family.
New name. New chapter. Same sweet girl. 🌹

After waiting patiently for his forever family, Riley’s day has finally come! 🥹🐾 We are SO happy to see this sweet boy officially start his next chapter. ❤️

Riley is still going through heartworm treatment, and we’re continuing to raise money to help cover his care. He has his next injection scheduled for next week. 🩺💉
