In the short-term, The Cooley Cat-a-logue is focused on stopping the cycle of overpopulation in a local cat colony that has produced generations of litters for the past two years. We aim to TNR 10-13 adult cats so they can return to their territory healthy and unable to reproduce. At the same time, we are working to catch and care for 5 kittens from the newest litter—about 9 weeks old—who will be
nurtured and placed in loving adoptive homes. In the long-term, The Cooley Cat-a-logue is building toward a lasting presence in our community as an in-the-field TNR support network. Our vision is to be the go-to resource for neighbors who discover new cat colonies or have concerns about community cats. By providing hands-on assistance, sharing knowledge, and connecting people directly to resources, we hope to create a sustainable system of care that benefits both our human neighbors and our feline neighbors—ensuring healthier colonies, fewer litters, and a more harmonious community.
