We had SO much fun at Dog Days of Summer yesterday at The Bank at The Little Book! We met so many good doggos, and spread the word about our programs and ways to get involved. Thanks to all who came out and made it a great day! 🧡🐶

We love hearing this reunification story that utilized our program, Iowa Lost & Found Pet Alert! 🧡

If you find or lose a pet, you can post them to www.iowapetalert.com and our volunteers will use the power of social media to spread the word!

REUNITED: 35-year-old tortoise Roman was reunited with his family after slipping out of his outdoor enclosure! When Roman arrived at the ARL, we posted his photo on IowaPetAlert.com and PetcoLoveLost.org, and it didn’t take long for his mom to spot his photo! She called us right away and we were able to confirm that Roman was her tortoise!

Less than two hours later, Roman and his mom were reunited. Roman’s mom told us he had been missing for weeks and she was so excited to take him back home to his tortoise friends.

Join us on October 4th at Franklin Junior High for Cool Cars for Cats! This car show and cat food drive supports our programs, specifically AniMeals, where our volunteers package pet food to be delivered with WesleyLife Meals on Wheels! This partnership helps ensure everyone in the home can receive the nutrition they deserve.

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is offering free pet food to help pet owners in need through a partnership with local non-profits.

What a great day! Today, our Kibbles for a Cause community pet food drive officially wrapped up. This drive brought together five amazing organizations working to support central Iowa pets and their parents. Every single contribution makes an impact and can be the difference between if a pet stays in their home or is relinquished to a shelter. Together, we collected over 4,000 pounds of pet food that each of our organizations will use to support local pets!

Special thank you to Fareway for sponsoring the event and each of local retailers who hosted a collection box! It takes a community, and we are so fortunate to be part of this one!
