Cat fights can lead to more than just a few scratches 😿👁️

Dr. Miller has been seeing this patient regularly over the past couple of weeks while treating a corneal laceration caused by another cat. Injuries like this can be painful and serious, especially when the surface of the eye is involved.

With close monitoring, medications, and follow-up exams, the goal is to protect the eye while giving it the best chance to heal properly 🐾

Squinting, redness, discharge, or keeping an eye closed are all signs your pet should be evaluated sooner rather than later.

Big thank you to the team at Beechwold Veterinary Hospital for having us out! 🐾

Dr. Drinkhouse and part of the COVE team had a great time connecting with local veterinary professionals and discussing continuing education topics, collaboration, and ways we can continue providing advanced care together for pets across Central Ohio.

It was incredible to see so many members of the community, local veterinarians, and referral partners come together in support of continued access to high-quality specialty and emergency veterinary care in Central Ohio.
