This baby was seen being tossed out of a vehicle and abandoned on Robinwood Road in Dalton by an individual driving a silver Nissan Xterra. The vehicle’s tag information and identifying details have been documented and there will be charges pressed if information isn’t brought forward as to why you would be dumping a dog out on the side of the road.

If anyone recognizes this dog, knows who the owners may be, or has any information that could help us identify where this baby belongs, please contact us immediately.

No animal deserves to be dumped and left behind. Please share this post so we can get answers and, most importantly, help this dog get home.

Marvel found his forever family! ❤️
The second photo was when he was found abandoned.💔

Marvel’s journey began when a compassionate person found him as a stray and refused to look the other way. They made sure he got to safety, and from that moment, Marvel’s life began to change. When he first came into our care, his coat was severely matted, to the point it had caused sores on his body. We got him groomed, comfortable, and to took him to the vet so he could receive the care and vetting he needed.

Through it all, Marvel never stopped showing us the incredible dog he truly was, sweet, loving, and full of heart. Watching him heal, trust again, and let his personality shine has been something we will never forget. And now… Marvel has found his forever family. ❤️

There is no greater feeling than knowing a dog who once had no place to call home is now surrounded by love, safety, and the life he always deserved. We truly believe his new family is going to give him the amazing future he has waited so long for. To every single person who has donated, supported, shared our posts, or stood beside us in our mission, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness means more than words could ever express. Many of you don’t see what goes on behind the scenes of rescue. Every single week, we spend hundreds of dollars just to keep food in bowls, fresh litter in litter boxes, and veterinary care available for the animals who depend on us. Every month, we spend well over $1,500 on just food and litter alone and that doesn’t even begin to cover medical care, vaccinations, emergencies, and the countless other expenses that come with saving lives. Some weeks we wonder how we are going to make ends meet…

We work our every day full time jobs and pour everything we have, our time, our energy, our finances, and our hearts into this rescue. Some days are exhausting. Some days are overwhelming. And truthfully, it’s not easy at all. So when we ask for help, it’s never because we need anything for ourselves… it’s because the animals need it. They rely on us, and in so many ways, they rely on all of you too. Yall are a true blessing to our rescue…

Because of your support, lives are being saved. Hungry animals are being fed. Sick animals are getting the medical care they desperately need. Broken spirits are learning what love feels like again. To our Little Bit Of Heaven Rescue family, supporters, adopters, and everyone who has stood beside us… we are exhausted… mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially.

Over the past several weeks, we have been hit with one emergency after another. Animals coming in neglected, abandoned, injured, sick, starving, scared… and every single time, we have stepped in because that’s what we do. We refuse to turn our backs on animals that have no one else. But the truth is… rescue is taking a heavy toll on us right now. Every emergency vet visit, every spay/neuter, every vaccine, every test, every bag of food, every medication, every litter refill, every transport…it adds up fast. While many people see the happy adoption photos, what they often don’t see are the sleepless nights, the tears, the sacrifices, the personal finances poured in, and the constant worry of how we are going to continue.

As many of you know, Little Bit Of Heaven Rescue operates solely on donations and the kindness of our community. We are not government funded. We are a volunteer based rescue, we work full time jobs while still dedicating our lives to these animals. Right now, we have reached a point where we may be forced to temporarily pause new intakes until we can recover financially from the medical emergencies and ongoing care of the animals already depending on us. Writing those words is heartbreaking. There are so many animals that still need help right now, and being forced to say “we can’t right now” is one of the hardest parts of rescue.

From tiny kittens to cats who have never known what safety feels like, every animal that comes through our doors depends on us for food, comfort, and a clean place to heal.

Lately, our supplies have been disappearing faster than we can replace them, and we are urgently in need of Cat Food and Paper Pellet Litter.

These may seem like simple items… but to the animals in our care, they mean everything. They mean full bellies, clean bedding, comfort after trauma, and the chance to finally feel safe. This sweet boy may be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he feels comfortable, his loving personality truly shines. Jaafar has heterochromia which means he has 2 completely different colored eyes! He gets along well with other cats, is happy, healthy, and fully vetted, and is now ready to find the loving forever home he deserves.
