Dogwood Veterinary Medical Center is continuing to grow, and we are currently hiring for a full-time receptionist position!

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, hardworking, dependable, and who loves working with both people and animals. Previous experience in the veterinary medicine field is preferred.

We are excited to welcome Samir Burato, DVM to our team here at Dogwood Veterinary Medical Center!

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Samir graduated from São Paulo State University in the Class of 2022, earning his veterinary medicine degree, before completing his Master’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Georgia in 2024.

His main interests in veterinary medicine include surgery and diagnostic imaging. We are excited for our clients and patients to benefit from the care, knowledge, and compassion he brings to our team.

Outside of work, Samir enjoys spending time with his wife, Mikayla, along with family and friends, and loves fishing and grilling.

We are thankful to have him joining our growing team and cannot wait for our community to meet him. Please help us give Samir Burato a warm welcome to DVMC!
