Information regarding automated Text (SMS) appointment reminders from our system:

It has been brought to our attention that text reminders for upcoming appts list Dr F's name even if the appt is not with him (tech appts, blood draws, injections, surgery rechecks, etc). Please note that if you scheduled a tech appt, your pet is not seeing Dr F, even though the reminder says it is with him. Information is auto-populated by the software and we are told cannot be customized. We apologize for any confusion.

Thank you for all of your well wishes. Dr F is back to work and doing well. Please be patient as we play catch up with the backlog from the unexpected closure.

Dr F is in the ER with kidney stones. He's ok. We are closing today and on a scheduling hold. Michele will be answering phones to direct cases to ER as needed and waitlisting non-critical cases.

Info regarding using the Vello portal and text platforms.

Messages and appointment/Rx requests are not monitored in real time. When you submit an appointment request, it is NOT scheduling that appt, it is just requesting it, and needs to be approved. It will be marked "Scheduled" when it has been approved.

The platform is not meant for urgent appts that need to be seen same day or even next day. Please always call the office for scheduling appointments within 3 days for the best chance of getting in ASAP before we book up.

If you get an error message or busy signal when calling the office, there is nothing wrong with our phones, it means all lines are being used. We are just THAT busy! Try calling in the afternoon M, TU, TH, FRI when phones tend to be less busy.

Please also remember our Wednesdays and Saturdays rotate. We are open 9-12 every other. Please see website for closures.

Rabbit parents!!! The RHDV2 vaccine is finally available in single dose form. So no more clinic style boosters for them! When we have it in stock (hopefully early next week), we will be reaching out to the waitlist to schedule those appts at your convenience!

It has come to our attention that the microchip company "Saving this life" unexpectedly shut down, leaving all of their microchips basically useless since the company cannot be reached if a Lost Pet is found with their chip.

Please know that we have never used that company. We've used Homeagain for many years, and Avid before that. If your pet has a microchip that was not implanted by us use the link below to search your pet's microchip number to make sure that it is not a chip by that company. Their numbers usually start with 991 or 900164. If it is, you can register with another company so your pet's chip will be traceable.
