I’m Ariel, a sweet 7 year old gal who’s all about the simple joys in life. You’ll usually find me nestled on the couch, enjoying a good book or Disney movie marathon with a few cats cuddling near by (can you guess some of my favorite movies?)🐶😻

I'd love a calm, peaceful home where we can enjoy a few treats, and maybe go for a fun car ride or two. I may be best as your only dog, but I’ll happily share my space with a cat friend.

🌱Hi, I'm Pinto, a handsome 1 year old fella, just looking for the pawfect home to bloom in. Like the lil spotted bean I'm named after, I have a unique spotted coat!

I'm still getting used to the good life with gentle humans. Loud noises and quick movements? Still a little scary. But a calm, patient home? That’s where I can truly start to shine.🌟

I'd do best with adults who understand the 3-3-3 rule:
✔️ 3 days to decompress
✔️ 3 weeks to start feeling safe
✔️ 3 months to build trust and love

And having another confident dog around? That’s a game-changer! Dog friends help me feel safe, understood, and a little braver every day.

We are so very grateful for our volunteers that help out around the shelter! Our August Volunteer of the Month is: Xerria Smith!

She has been volunteering with us since October of 2024 and has donated over 300 hours of her time to the animals and staff at the SPCA of Texas. She's featured here with Titan, who's looking for a home!

We asked Xerria:

What's your favorite memory at the SPCA of Texas?
My favorite memory is meeting the adoption staff and finding where I fit in. I’ve made so many friends and connections through them and it’s always an adventure!

What do you want people to know about Titan?
I’m featuring Titan! He needs a house with a big yard or farm land. He is super sweet, silly, and smart, and just has the most energy in the world! He’s one of our longest stay residents and it’s my mission to get him out of the shelter and into a home. Please consider fostering or adopting him!

How does volunteering make you feel?
Excited! I always look forward to coming in for volunteering and I try to come in whenever I can! I love taking out the energetic dogs, sitting with the shy dogs, and always helping the adoptions team.


We appreciate all of the time she's given to the SPCA of Texas and the many animals in our care that she's helped find their fur-ever homes! Thank you, Xerria Smith!
