His name is Kevin.

Not Sir Kevin. Not Kevin the Great (although he is pretty great). Not Captain Kevin.

Just Kevin.

And somehow that's exactly what makes him pawfect. 😂💜

Kevin's a 2-year-old toy-loving goofball who's always looking for his next adventure. He's got plenty of energy, loves to play, and is the kind of dog who makes ordinary days a lot more fun. 🥳

Need a walking buddy? Kevin's in.
Need a fetch partner? Kevin's in.
Need someone to make you laugh when he's carrying three toys at once? Kevin's definitely in.

He's currently waiting for his neuter surgery, but he's available through Foster-to-Adopt, so you can start your friendship right away.

Come meet Kevin from 12–6 p.m. (everyday 7 days a week) at the SPCA of Texas 2400 Lone Star drive in Dallas and see why we're all a little obsessed with this lovable goober. 🐾

What if your spare room, guest bathroom, or cozy corner could help save a life?💞

Glinda, Moxie, Momma Pippin, Momma Fina and so many other animals are waiting for foster homes. Some need a quiet place to recover, some need a safe space to raise their babies, and others just need a break from the shelter while they wait for their forever family. 💜🐾

All of them need someone willing to say, “I can help, even just for a little while.”

That’s what fostering is. Helping these animals get ready for a furever home. Fostering is 100% FREE with the SPCA of Texas! We cover everything you need.

As part of the Foster Forward Challenge with Best Friends Animal Society, we’re opening up conversations, homes, and hearts all month long, and we’d love to invite you to be part of it.

Curious about fostering? Come hang out with us at a Pop-Up Foster Orientation. No pressure, no commitment required! Just tea, cookies, friendly faces, and a chance to meet some of the animals whose lives are changed by foster care every day.

📍 Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center
June 13 | 9:30–11 a.m. (in person)
June 25 | 7-8 p.m. (virtual)
June 30 | 6–8 p.m. (in person)

You’ll get to chat with our foster team and volunteers, see bottle-feeding demos, and learn what fostering actually looks like in real life (spoiler: it’s more doable, than you think!).

If you’ve been thinking about helping… this is your sign. 💜🐾

🎉 Please join us in welcoming our 2026 SPCA of Texas Summer Interns! 🎉

Out of nearly 90 applicants, just 13 Uplift Education students were selected for this year's Summer Internship Program, and they're officially here! 💜🐾

Over the next several weeks, these high school seniors will gain hands-on experience helping animals through a variety of internship tracks:

🐶 Animal Science
📸 Lifesaving Content
🎪 Event Logistics
🤝 Outreach
🐱 Feline Lifesaving

From animal care and enrichment to adoption marketing, volunteer events, and community outreach, these students will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make a difference in animal welfare.

This program is about more than career exploration: it's about investing in the next generation of animal advocates, community leaders, and changemakers. 💜

Join us in congratulating these incredible students and giving them a warm SPCA of Texas welcome! 👏🐾

🎶 Do you got the moves like Jagger? ... He just needs a dance partner. 💜🐾

Jagger recently hit the town on a Borrow a Buddy adventure and absolutely crushed it. Pup cup? Check. Spa day? Check. Exploring Dallas like a local celebrity? Double check.

Now he's back at the shelter wondering when his next encore is.

Want to make a shelter pet's day (or weekend)? Borrow a Buddy is basically a field trip for dogs! We provide 💯 everything you need, there's no cost to participate, and you can choose an outing that fits your schedule! Anything from a quick afternoon adventure to a full 3 day weekend sleepover!

Trust us: your weekend could use a few more tail wags. 💜

Ready to join the fun? Fill out our foster application: https://rb.gy/ll99d

And if Jagger has already stolen your heart, come meet him at 2400 Lone Star Drive. We're open every day from 12–6 PM!

🪕 Some songs don't start with a bang. Some start with a Banjo. 💜

Banjo is the kind of dog who takes a minute to warm up, but once he does, you'll discover something really special. 🤩

This sweet 1-year-old boy may be a little shy when meeting new people, but behind those thoughtful eyes is a loyal companion who's just waiting for someone to give him a chance.

He loves affection, enjoys spending time with his people, and is looking for a home where he can continue building confidence and showing off his wonderful pawsonality.

The best things in life are worth waiting for: and Banjo is no exception.

Come foster or adopt this sweet boy today stop by 12 PM–6 PM, open every day.
