PAOC took several calls this morning about 4 loose adult dogs on Route 113 - also known as Old Yoakum Road in Dewitt Co., Texas Please share this post so their pet parents will head out that way to retrieve them. They are roaming on a busy highway which is not only dangerous for them but also for the drivers who may be trying to keep from hitting them and swerve to avoid contact. Praying they are not dumped dogs, praying that someone can secure them - unfortunately PAOC would love to help but we don't have the man power or the space. Again please share and share this post.

A winning combination - PUPPIES and Pre-K kiddo's! That's what happened today when the team from Pet Adoptions of Cuero ventured out to Grace Episcopal Church here in Cuero. The summer camp children's group welcomed half a dozen of the newest arrival of pups for a morning play session. The pups loved all the one on one attention and the kiddo's loved the puppy kisses and cuddles. Thanks to GEC for the invite and all the wonderful pet food and pet toy donations.

82 - yes EIGHTY-TWO - IS THE NUMBER OF UNWANTED PUPPIES Pet Adoptions of Cuero has had to turn away this week. Caller after caller after caller has 6 pups, 3 pups, 11 pups, 4 pups etc. that they 'DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH". Every call starts with "I have called every shelter/rescue in the state and no one has any openings" - we are at PUPPY CRISIS times 10! Please spread the word to the general public - there is no way out of this overwhelming unwanted pet situation. You have a pet, you have an un-FIXED pet? Then you are going to add to this sad sickening situation. Pet Adoptions of Cuero currently has 15 that are bona fide "puppies" in our inventory but we also have 25 teen, adult and senior dogs that need and want forever homes. Besides all the "puppy calls" we have dozens and dozens of "I don't have time for my pet anymore" - that we have had for 4 or more years!!!! We have "adoption" in the name of our organization but it appears we have become just a "resident" hall for some beautiful loving pets that folks have discarded like trash. We need adopters and fosters and anyone who wants to step up and offer one or two of our fur babes a second loving chance. Please share this post and maybe come by and see one or two of our PAOC cuties that will tug at your heartstrings - and know that you can give it a real forever home. We stay open 7 days a week so we are ready when you are to visit. Pet Adoptions of Cuero, 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero - open every day from 8 am till 12 noon or call for a late afternoon adoption visit: 361-243-8540 - if you can't adopt then please, please spay or neuter your pet and microchip it too!

Bloodhound/RedBone Heeler/Beagle - wow these are extra special PUPS with this parentage! These 7 pups are sadly a surprise litter and now are in dire need of new homes. Perfect combination of traits anyone would want in a future pet - they just need space or a fenced yard to roam. There are 3 females and 4 males. For more info on the litter please call Britton at 361-564-7905. They are not currently at Pet Adoptions of Cuero - this is a courtesy post but we can make arrangements to do a meet and greet at the PAOC shelter in Cuero. Puppy shoppers - now is the time to adopt and add an addition to the family - there are so many puppies that are ready to learn, be trained and welcomed into the family. Make this a summer project for the kiddo's and help the overrun shelters who need more adopters and fosters. Please like and share this post - thanks to all our Facebook friends, family, past PAOC-ers! and even our foes - we appreciate the support!

Hi there SENIORS - I'm a senior too and I am looking for my next home so we can share our senior moments together. I was fortunate to have been taken to Pet Adoptions of Cuero after a night or two on a lonely stretch of country road. I have a microchip so they thought it would be a quick turnaround for me to get me back to my former home. NO LUCK! my owner cannot be found or will not take their calls - So SAD. But leave it to PAOC to do the right thing - get me re-vetted, up to date on shots, neutered male etc. and even keep my former name - it's ZAISY. You know like a Daisy only I am a bit LAZY. I am 6 years old, know commands, mild mannered, non barky and just the perfect medium size boxer blend mutt that is ready to warm up to anyone who wants a calm canine that does not jump or act hyper. Adoption has been sponsored so let's meet at Pet Adoptions of Cuero, 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero, TX any and every day of the year from 8 am till 12 noon or call for a late afternoon adoption visit 361-243-8540. Please like and share this post so ZAISY can be united with a forever human friend. Thanks!

That dynamic duo has arrived at Pet Adoptions of Cuero -it's LAVERNE and SHIRLEY - these twin terriers are small to medium size pups - under 6 months old. They are sure to entertain their new pet parents - in just the same way as they entertain each other. They are a wonderful set to adopt when play time is limited or you have some kiddo's that would rather have a furry playmate to keep them busy and active every day. Make this the summer to open up your home to these multi colored canines - they don't deserve to grow up in a shelter. Come see them soon at Pet Adoptions of Cuero, 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero, TX - open all 7 days every week from 8 am till 12 noon or call for a late afternoon adoption visit 361-243-8540. And to all our fantastic supportive Facebook Friends, shelter friends and family - PLEASE like and share this post. Gracias!

So here's Miss Cora - a mild mannered, well behaved, beautiful blond fur toned German Shepherd. She had to be someone's faithful pet - BUT - they failed to get her spayed. Then they failed to own up to the consequences - so young CORA was abandoned on a well known dumping ground just on the outskirts of Cuero. (we are not naming the street in fear more dumpees will be using it!) So lo and behold Miss Cora delivered 9 - yes 9! very healthy puppies and it is easy to see the Daddy-O had to have been a sleek black Labrador retriever. And now this is the 8th "full family" of canines we have taken in this year at Pet Adoptions of Cuero. Do we have room? NO - Do we have enough staff to clean and feed? NO - Do we have enough FUNDS to vet 10 dogs? NO - And more important - can we find 10 new sets of pet parents to come to our rescue and adopt? The pups are only 3-4 weeks old so they will be at PAOC for at least 4 to 6 more weeks. Please spread the word - especially to out of towners who don't have a local shelter near by - we want you to come and visit PAOC. We are open every day of the year from 8 am to 12 noon or call for a late afternoon adoption visit 361-243-8540. We are right on US Highway 183 South, Cuero - address is 407 - look for the big bannered gates and welcome balloons. See you soon - please!
