📣Special Announcement📣

Please help us welcome Dr. Don Barnett! He joins us as a mixed animal Veterinarian with years of experience in both large and small animal care. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to veterinary medicine. We're thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the exceptional care he'll provide to our clients and their animals.

Here is a brief introduction:
Dr. Don Barnett grew up in Schroeder, Texas and attended Goliad High School. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned a degree in Biochemistry. Upon receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Barnett taught High School Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in Victoria, TX. Looking to expand his education and passions, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, Dr. Barnett was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, serving in Texas, Cuba, and Colorado where he worked with Military Working Dogs and Equine, pets of military families, and regulatory food safety and defense.

In addition to his military duties, he also moonlighted at a Small Animal and Exotic Emergency Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Following his Army career, Dr. Barnett worked in Floresville, TX at Deason Animal Hospital, a large mixed-animal practice outside of San Antonio. After years of traveling, Dr. Barnett and his wife, Chelsea, headed back "home" to settle and raise their children in the community they both grew up in.

During his free time, Dr. Barnett enjoys outdoor sports with his family such as running, hiking, ultimate frisbee, and pickleball.
