MAXIMUS IS A PINT-SIZED BALL OF A NAPOLEON COMPLEX!!!!❤️🐾🐶😂

Meet Maximus!!!! He is quite the combination of Chihuahua and Pomeranian. Two of the most opinionated breeds around. Maximus is about 7 years old and has a personality all his own. He is only for experienced Chihuahua or small breed owners. Maximus is just like many of your typical small breeds. Once he knows you, he loves you. He is extremely cute and food motivated which helps in winning him over. Maximus must go into an adult only home with very minimal access to children. He does not do well with commotion, loud noises or anyone rushing up to him. All the things children like to do. His ideal home is a retired couple or individual that can devote time and energy to his needs. Being a semi-senior he does not require extensive exercise or stimulation. A comfy couch, some walks and a lot of treats and he is a happy boy. Maximus has a clean bill of health and recently had a dental so he is ready for his next chapter.

RE-INTRODUCING HENNA!!!!❤️🐾🐱

This beautiful girl is Henna. She is a four year old Calico who was recently returned to us after being adopted out in 2023. Unfortunately her owner went into hospice care and was unable to take care of her. She is super sweet, friendly, loves the pets and hanging out watching the birds. She loves a good window seat. Henna prefers a nice warm lap to cuddle on while she gets the chin rubbies. She is such a sweet girl and really deserves a new forever home. She is cat and small dog friendly and would do great in a home by herself or with other low-key dogs and/or cats.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

We had such an amazing time at MJ's Restaurant Bar & Grill Long Branch on Saturday. Chloe and Moose got to meet some wonderful people. Thank you to RESCUE RIDGE and Tito's Handmade Vodka for sponsoring us to be a part of such a great adoption event. ANOTHER EPISODE OF FUR-EVER HOME FRIDAY'S!!!!❤️🐶🐾

Some of you may remember Sunshine who was rescued after being tied to a pole in Newark. She was in horrific condition and we had no idea if she would survive. After months of rehabilitation she was ready for adoption. One of our previous adopters lost their senior dog who was a Best Friend alum. We were so sad to hear the news, but also knew Sunshine would be the perfect fit to help them heal. We kept sending them pictures until they agreed to meet her. Now she is living the dream in a wonderful home with a doting mom and a beautiful view and fenced in back yard. We are so grateful to her adoptive family for rescuing a dog in need!!!!

This beautiful little girl is Leia. She was born on 3/5/25 along with her brothers Han and Luke. One of our rescue partners learned about their situation when they were being sold for snake food. We rushed in to take them and now they have been living life in their foster home. Leia is a super player and cuddle monster. She must be adopted either with one of her siblings or into a home with another cat or kitten as she is very cat centric. Leia loves her cat tree and will nap in any hidey hole she can find. She currently lives with multiple cats and a medium sized dog. She is spayed, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV negative and is microchipped.

We rushed in to take them and now they have been living life in their foster home. Han is a super player and his middle name is adventure. He must be adopted either with one of his siblings or into a home with another cat or kitten as he is very cat centric. Luke loves to play and will cuddle in any bed, on any couch or in any fleece blanket he can find. He currently lives with multiple cats and a medium sized dog. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED ASAP!!!!❤️🐶🐾

Koda and Molly need new foster homes ASAP.

They do not need to be fostered together but we are looking for them to go into foster homes with other extremely social dogs. They are just under two years old, super sweet and need work on people socialization.

Molly is cat friendly and Koda is cat tolerable. These babies came from a hoarding puppy mill situation and have spent time in a foster home for almost the last year. They are crate trained and would do best in foster homes with people that work from home or are home a lot.

This handsome boy is Han. He was born on 3/5/25 along with his brother Luke and sister Leia. One of our rescue partners learned about their situation when they were being sold for snake food. We rushed in to take them and now they have been living life in their foster home. Han is a super player and his middle name is adventure. He must be adopted either with one of his siblings or into a home with another cat or kitten as he is very cat centric. Han loves his cat tree, window ledge, cat tunnel and anything else he can play with. He currently lives with multiple cats and a medium sized dog. He is neutered, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV negative and is microchipped.
