📣Hope has survived. 💙Not only did she make it out of the Oberlin Pound—she found a village that refused to give up on her.
That village begins with the dedicated advocates, Donna N Lauren Courville, who have consistently done everything within their power to speak up for the dogs in the pound and fight for better outcomes, even in the hardest circumstances.
Tomorrow morning, Hope will leave her amazing Dr. Karen and the team at Bellevue Animal Clinic and head into foster care with an incredible human who understands dogs like her. Hope isn’t mean—she’s just never known people, aside from being trapped in a pound. Lyndsie has experience helping fearful, under socialized pups learn that humans can be safe and kind, and she’s driving an hour and a half to pick Hope up in the morning. That alone speaks volumes.
And then—another miracle. Our dear friend Mary Morvant with Hail Mary Rescue stepped up in the biggest way. If no one locally could commit to Hope long-term, Mary has offered to bring her all the way to Virginia. Hope has no idea what’s unfolding for her, but it’s the doorway to the life she’s always deserved.
We are endlessly grateful for our supporters who make it possible for us to help Hope—and the many other pound dogs Donna and Lauren have asked us to assist over the past two years. And we are thankful beyond words for friends like Mary, who never hesitate to stand up for the underdogs.
Hope truly has Hope this holiday season. ✨
We’ll continue to keep you posted on this precious angel. 🐾💙
