Today, I recall with gratitude the life of my colleague and friend Dr. Pete Hendry, who died on June 2, 2026. I met Pete in 1996 and was blessed to work with him for a period of eight years before he honored me by passing the reins of General Animal Hospital into my hands. I hoped that Pete would continue to feel welcome in the hospital that he established and it was always a good day whenever he stopped by to visit. I will carry with me memories of the care and compassion that he showed to both his patients and their owners. His down-to-earth optimism and love for our shared profession formed the base of our friendship and I shall certainly miss him. I and the staff of General Animal Hospital offer our prayers and sincere condolences for his family and friends during this difficult time. Sincerely, Dr. Greg Labranche
