This past saturday, We had a blast at the annual BCE Halloween show!

Hannah and Stitch came out and tried their hand at a CT - first time in dressage and they did great.

Bergen and Domino also tried their hand at a CT and they learned a lot and know what we can fix to better their dressage from here.

Kate and W***y apparently you can teach a dog new tricks because at 23 - w***y first dressage test went amazingly well.

Lynnlee and Chaos were the bread winners for the best dressage of the day and we are gaining confidence in the jump rounds.

Aubrie and Tango took their first spin as a team in a starter CT. It wasnt perfect but man the room for whats to come is going to be so good. With only a week as them as a team, ill take a completed dressage and jump round.

Proud of all 5 horse and rider pairs. Can't wait for the next one!

Farm Updates 🚜🐎

First off, we owe you all an apology for our silence this year. It’s been a tough one personally, and in an effort to maintain some balance and sanity, I had to step back from a few of our pages and social media platforms. It was a much-needed break — and I’m glad I took it — but now we’re ready to jump back in and share what’s been going on around the farm!

We’re still very much up and running! The lesson program is smaller than it’s been in years past, but that’s turned out to be a blessing. With fewer students, we’ve been able to offer more one-on-one attention — something that can get lost in the hustle and bustle of a larger program.

That said, we do have a few openings for riding lessons! If you’re interested, please reach out via email at [email protected].

A quick note on communication: we’ll be discontinuing Facebook Messenger as it rarely notifies us of messages (and we hate missing yours!). Phone calls also won’t be answered due to the flood of spam calls, but if you email us, we’ll gladly schedule a call as soon as we receive it.

We also currently have one training spot open. We only take on one horse per month so each gets the time and focus it deserves. Our training program emphasizes ground manners, trailer loading, desensitization, and basic W/T/C under saddle — in either Western or English. We’ve proudly worked with several successful dressage horses, though our heart (and specialty) is with the OTTBs.

That spot can also be used for consignment training if you’re looking to sell your horse with professional prep and exposure. Feel free to email for more details.

And finally — enjoy this beautiful photo from the Kentucky Horse Park featuring our 2025 Retired Racehorse Project broodmare graduate De Last Dance (“Tango”), who proudly took 2nd in Dressage and Freestyle this October! 💃🐴

Cruz had his first trail ride off property today. We are so proud of how he is doing.

We will have an opening next month for a training spot as we send this kiddo back home. If interested send us a message.

Trail miles, desensitized or ground work. Located in Covington GA.

Welcome..

Hello there,

Welcome to the page of Sawtooth Ranch, our lovely little farm. Sawtooth Ranch went from a dream to a reality on October 31,2014, the day we purchased our small piece of heaven. Our property sits between the Covington Bypass and Rocky Plains Road, convenient to major highways such as Hwy 36, Hwy 81, Hwy 212, Hwy 162 and even Interstate 20. We are just minutes away from Downtown Covington, 25 mins from Downtown McDonough, 25 mins from Downtown Conyers, and all under an hour away from other surrounding cities such as Social Circle, Loganville, Monticello, Lithonia, Snellville, Monroe and many more. Also, We are only 40 mins outside Atlanta as well.

Many have asked, Why the name Sawtooth Ranch? If you have visited our property or plan to in the future, check out our beautiful Sawtooth Oak trees that line our driveway and throughout some of our property. These were planted long before we purchased the place and provide the property with a good amount of shade throughout the year. Sawtooth Oaks are not a very popular type of tree seen or heard of and this provided us with a unique opportunity to have a name that stood out but had meaning behind it as well.
