GOOD NEWS FOR ALL CREATURES 📖
GROOMING IS A PART OF TRAINING 🫶

Had a great session with Yoshi and his owners last week where we went over grooming. Grooming, baths and nail trims are an important part of relationship building and training! 🐕

So many dogs are afraid of grooming, bathing and nail trims experiences they become aggressive because of it. So we usually have to spend time rebuilding the that trust that got broken along the way. 🫶

We have to slow down and take our time going at the dogs pace. We as humans tend to rush the process because of time we are under to get things done. ✅

However this is usually when things go sideways, because the Lord is never early or late always on time. And if the enemy cant slow us down he will likely try and speed us up! ⏰

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.

Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.

GOOD NEWS FOR ALL CREATURES📖 MAKING NEW FRIENDS 🐕🐕

We’ve been working on building new friendships and relationships around here since we lost Starr. Chevy is keeping Bianca company and they are learning about each other from a safe space. 🫶

It’s hard making new friends after you have been betrayed by those closest to you. Ask me how I know this, even Jesus knows because it happened to Him too. He was betrayed by one of his closest friends. 😭

This is one of the greatest heartbreaks anyone can experience and even the Lord was crushed in spirit with sorrow to the point of death. Anyone who experiences it knows the fear that comes with trying to build new friendships and relationships after betrayal. 💔

Dogs have same emotions as us because they feel happiness, joy, pain, sadness, anger and fear just like we do. And in my experience most aggression stems from FEAR of being hurt. Hurt by other humans or dogs so we focus on building TRUST🫶

Over time we rebuild the trust in relationships, even if it wasnt us who broke it in the first place. Jesus is our example of this He is the only one ☝️ worth 💯 percent of our trust and He is the one who actually does the rebuilding!

“Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and he said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed.

He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! GOD CREATED ALL CREATURES ❤️

In other news Diamond is having her second heat cycle and this one will hopefully be shorter than the first. Studies now show it’s best to wait for at least one menstrual cycle if you are going to spay or neuter your dogs.🐕

Polly and Diamond 💎 are the first dogs Ive ever went through heat cycles with. All my dogs have been rescues and were already fixed before I got them. However this led to CANINE THYROID ISSUES which you can read about on our website here: https://lifechangingdogtraining.com/canine-thyroid-epidemic

We understand why SPAY & NEUTERING is important to controlling pet overpopulation because some people arent responsible and there arent enough homes for all the animals that end up being euthanized. BUT the number one reason these animals are returned is due to behavior issues 😭

So we MUST start to look at what this procedure is doing to our pets physical and mental state throughout their life. Happy to report in a house full of dogs this issue can be managed properly and safely for dogs keep their organs in tact. And we pray this keeps them healthy and happier longer since dogs used to live 20 years, and we’ve cut their lifespan in half. 😱

PRAYERS FOR POLLY 🙏🏼

Been a rough couple of weeks with Polly getting sick she has had a few different vet visits. We’re still waiting on blood test and f***l test results to figure out what’s wrong. 🫣🥹

Guessing she has a stomach bug or another infection in her gut, stomach or intestines. She is on medication to manage her symptoms and meds along with probiotics to treats what it could possibly be. 🦠

Had many sleepless nights and stressful days last few weeks so we can use your prayers that she will get back on track soon. It’s hard to help other people and dogs when yours arent well! 🙏🏼🥹

THANK GOD FOR GODLY FRIENDS ❤️

We all need friends on our Christian walk and it’s so important we figure out who God wants in our lives for different seasons and reasons. 🙏🏼

Bible says bad company corrupts good character. Same goes for our dogs, it’s important that we pay attention to what and who is influencing them in their decision making process. 🤓

People in our life understand that dog training is a way of life and that rules and boundaries we set for our dogs are there to keep them safe. I also try and set my dogs up to succeed around guests because I know they get so excited! 😄

Im super selective about who and how my dogs interact with other dogs outside the pack. Also always watching to ensure rules and boundaries are respected within the pack to keep everyone happy! ❤️

GOOD NEWS FOR ALL CREATURES 📖
WALKING WITH THE LORD 🐕❤️

Fell behind on my posts over last two weeks about Yoshi and his owners progress. We focus on progress not perfection as Jesus continues to work on us! ❤️

On the last two sessions we’ve worked on Yoshi managing emotions while dealing with distractions on a structured walk. Also when visitors and guests come over to the house 🏡

Walking with the Lord is not easy, it requires dying to ourselves and crucifying our flesh daily and picking up our cross to follow Him. But because we love Him this becomes easy, His burden is light and yoke is easy. 🙏🏼

This is the same thing we ask of our dogs not to act on their emotions but look to us, their Masters for direction about their behavior. And because our dogs love us and want to please us, this becomes easier and easier! 🐕

GOOD NEWS FOR ALL CREATURES 📖
FREEDOM FOR ALL CREATION 🥹😭

Hard to find the words when we lose one our best friends. We had to say, not “goodbye” but “see you later” to our friend Starr to ensure she didnt suffer in pain. Starr was 13 years old and been with us for the last 10 years, outliving all my boys😭 thanks to Helping Hand For Animals

We had to make a decision that was best for her and everyone so that she could pass with peace and dignity. This is the hardest decision every dog owner will face one day, but grateful we could offer her this on her last day here on earth with us. 🌍 thanks to Nebraska Pet Hospice and Fur-Ever Friends Pet Crematory

And a miracle happened before she went home to be with the Lord, she made a new friend. She trusted so few people I considered it an honor she trusted me. And if you know Starr she has not made new friends in a very long time. She was adamant she didn’t need new friends anytime I tried to introduce her until now, guess God had other plans. 🙏🏼🥹

Starr was a very difficult dog but one that taught me so much about serious dogs. How to build trust in order to train them and for them to follow you. And how hard you must work to earn and maintain that trust. She also taught me how far a dog can go in training but then must be managed for life to keep everyone safe. 😇

I shouldnt miss a dog that was so much work, but I do…because Starr was the dog that made me feel safe this crazy, upside down world. She would have died defending me and that’s true love, the Jesus kind of love because He died defending us. Praying we were able to help Starr give a good report to the Lord and she is safe with Him until we meet again in Heaven 😭

“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.

Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.
