Meet Dudley 💚
Dudley came to MHS as a stray with an unknown injury to his tail that left most of it missing. Unfortunately, the portion that remains is now infected, so this little guy has a bit of a medical journey ahead of him.
Right now, Dudley is receiving antibiotics to get the infection under control. Once he’s ready, he’ll undergo surgery to remove the remaining portion of his injured tail and get him on the path to feeling his best.
You certainly wouldn’t know any of that from meeting him! Dudley is a happy, outgoing, lovable kitten who is much more interested in making friends and getting attention than worrying about his missing tail.
Dudley is just one of the many animals who arrive at MHS needing medical care beyond the basics. Donations from our community help make it possible to provide medications, diagnostics, surgeries, and continued care for animals like him when they need us most.
And sometimes, what they need most is a quiet place to recover. Foster homes are also needed for Dudley and other animals coming through our doors. MHS provides the supplies and support while fosters provide a safe place to rest, recover, and prepare for what comes next.

Whether you’re able to donate, foster, or simply share Dudley’s story, you’re helping us be there for animals who need a little extra care. For pets like Dudley, having a community behind them can make all the difference. Thank you for continuing to show up for the animals!
