Hello everyone! Kennel cough is back in our area.
Please read attached flyer…
If your dog has any of these symptoms, please do not bring them to daycare until they are checked out by your vet or the symptoms are gone completely.
If we notice any symptoms while in our care, we will remove your pup from the group and immediately call you to pick them up.
While we are constantly cleaning and disinfecting throughout each day, there is no way to completely eliminate kennel cough except by trying to prevent infected dogs from coming in. It is similar to the common cold in humans and similar to trying to prevent a child from going to school and catching a cold… (plus kids usually (hopefully!) don’t play with their mouths like dogs… so even more easily transmitted between dogs).
Also, please be aware that kennel cough can be transmittied anywhere there are other dogs including daycare/boarding, dog park, vet’s office, grooming salon, pet store or even just walking down the street past a house with another dog that has it.
We thank you very much for your cooperation!
