Our Story

The Smiling Dog Café is located inside Coos Bay Toyota right on Hwy 101. We are open to the general public six days a week, and your well behaved dog is welcome here! The dealership even has a small dog park outside behind the dealership.

We serve breakfast and lunch all day. Our menu includes specialty coffees, hot panini’s, sandwiches, deli salads, baked goods, and much more. One of our customer’s favorites is homemade biscuits and gravy. We use old family recipes for the carrot cake, senate bean soup, and many other delicious items. Our menu is just a suggestion of what we can do, don’t be afraid to ask for something custom. We have a cookie of the month, weekly specials, and you will find a variety of fresh baked delights daily.

In the café you will also find wireless internet access at no charge so bring your laptop down or jump on one of our complimentary computers and treat yourself to something delicious!

We got our name from the original smiling dog, Maggie, the golden Labrador that has greeted many a visitor to Coos Bay Toyota over the years. She is a grand old lady now, and she and her owner Lee retired in 2018, but they still stop in regularly to say hi - and as always with big smiles.
