Life hasn’t always been easy — he’s been adopted and returned twice, once because he didn’t become the cat his adopter wanted him to be, and once because he and an older cat in the home didn’t mesh. But Gilbert hasn’t let these setbacks make him jaded. He remains friendly, loving, and sweet, with a resilient spirit that’s truly inspiring. Recently, he received a full dental cleaning and is ready to find his forever home. If Gilbert goes to a home with other cats, he would do best with feline companions his age who have moderate to strong personalities. Cat friends aren’t required, however, and he should be perfectly fine on his own as well.
