During this time, adoption fees for adult dogs and cats will be $50.

PET OF THE DAY!

Miss Kitty is new at Helping Strays and settling in wonderfully. She has incredibly soft fur, adorable little white ear tufts, and absolutely loves attention. Friendly and playful, Miss Kitty enjoys meeting new people and soaking up affection.

Come meet this beautiful girl at the shelter, she is ready to steal your heart!

Miss Kitty is two years old.

PET OF THE DAY!

Poe is an active, playful guy who brings excitement everywhere he goes! He loves to play with other dogs and greet new human friends with a wagging tail. He enjoys chewing on bones and he is currently working on potty training. Poe will thrive with someone ready to guide him through adolescence and enjoy lots of fun along the way!

Poe is about 11 months old and weighs 43 pounds.

Just a quick reminder that our parking lot, and the road leading to it, will be closed today for repairs. Please park up the hill behind the shelter in McCarty’s Contemporary Marble’s lot at 8533 Hanover Industrial Dr. and walk down to our building.

PET OF THE DAY!

Hello world! I am Calvin, an active, hilariously clever boy with a PhD in Playtime and a minor in Gate Defeating. That is right: I am so smart, I can open gates even when they are clipped. Houdini? Ever hear of him?

I am a pro at all things active. Whether it is hiking, camping, jogging, or inventing my own games in the backyard, I am always on the move. If you have an active lifestyle, I am your dream sidekick. I am also friendly with dogs and think every pup I meet should join my ever-growing fan club.

Do not worry though, I have got my polite side too. I am house trained and know the ins and outs of indoor living (but I will try to outsmart any gate you install, so fair warning).

If you are looking for a four-legged goofball who is equal parts athlete, genius, and cuddle machine...Calvin is your guy!

Calvin is one year old and weighs 75 pounds.

Tiki Tiger is a sweet and lovable cat with wonderful manners. He loves cuddles, enjoys playtime, and soaks up every bit of affection. He follows his humans everywhere, like a loyal little shadow.
