Pleased to report the Show-B BOB win by Senior Blue Buck UR-Lautrec at the MidWest Trailblazers show Saturday April 11, 2026 in Sedalia, MO.

Winning his second leg, now at 1 year 10 months of age with 88 entered, he received his first leg at last years show winning BOSB with 49 entered. It takes time for those Holland bucks to mature.

Looking at his pedigree I can see that I blended rabbits from the Cammacks 75%, Laura Dull 12.5%, Sue Eyler 6.25%, and Breezy Pines 6.25%. Special thanks to these breeders for offering their animals to me over the years.

Thanks to the efforts of show secretaries Shelbi Starr and Becky Marlow some of the show reports for the Nebraska Tower on the Plains Spring 2026 show were sent out within a day, others followed soon after that.

This allows me to analyze each rabbits performance across the four showings while I still remember the weekend. A deep dive into showing performance helps to develop the herd.

I can see both the consistent (Charlotte) and the inconsistent (Richibucto, and Adana in show C ) evaluations.

Thanks to Becky the awards for the specialty show were awesome too.

Some Fall 2025 grow-outs got their names today as we get ready for the Spring shows. Generally I would not keep so many bucks but they were worth taking a gamble on. Some will stay some will go.

The Underground Rabbitry placed 5th in Zone 5 (Kansas, Missouri, Illinois) for the 2025 Open Sweeps. Our rabbits were only judged 7 times for 2259 points or 322 per showing. Maybe we should go to more shows.

After 17 years of feeding Purina Show, purchased at Tractor Supply, I am switching to Heinold Oren Reynolds brand.

Over the past year, Tractor Supply's inconsistent delivery time, now about 6 weeks, was more than I could deal with.

I found a Heinold-supplier, Shetler, LLC, just 30 miles away near Clark, MO. They were able to reliably supply in 2-3 weeks from the order date.

We will see how the rabbits respond.
