If this isn’t the cutest wagon you’ve ever seen… 🚂

Dr. Cujdik had the best kind of day — a full wagon of bulldog puppies! Beth brought her beautiful litter for their very first puppy wellness visits, and we’re thrilled to share clean bills of health all around. ✨

Families come from all over for Dr. C’s specialty care with brachycephalic breeds — especially bulldogs — and this sweet crew made the trip all the way from West Virginia. From prenatal care, to a safe and successful C-section, to follow-up puppy wellness… we’ve made some wonderful new friends along the way. 🐾

✨ Our first (of many!) Bulldog palate surgeries here at our brand-new hospital! 🐾

Meet Bisbee, who had his BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome) surgery this week — and is already breathing easier and living his best bully life! 💨🐶

If you’re new here, Dr. Tim Cujdik is the go-to for brachycephalic breeds — especially Bulldogs 🐾 (we’re a little biased 😉). He’s basically the renowned plastic surgeon of bully noses — once you’ve seen his work, you know every pup’s had their “nose job” done by Dr. Tim! 👃💙

Wishing Bisbee a speedy recovery as he breathes his way — literally — into a brand-new life! 🐾

Today we passed our hospital inspection ✅—a milestone that’s been years in the making. We celebrated with dinner on the very strip in the Merriweather District where we quietly, patiently, and faithfully built this dream from the ground up.

Dr. Tim, watching you do your thing is nothing short of inspiring. Your dedication, your brilliance, your heart for pets and their families—it’s why we’re here, and it’s why we cannot wait to see you blaze a new legacy at Paws Up.

Here’s to the next chapter, to Forever Health, and to the magic you’re about to work. 🐾

A little throwback with my mom and Dr. Tim 🐾 — the three of us who started this journey together. What began as a simple patient–client relationship grew into a friendship, a family, and now a shared mission: to make veterinary medicine better for everyone—pets, their people, and the teams who care for them. 💙

As we get closer to final inspections and our new equipment installed (shoutout to for helping us bring our vision to life), I’ve been reflecting on how far we’ve come. This process has been filled with long days, lots of hard work, and yes…more than a few tears. But every step has been worth it.

We are endlessly grateful—for our families and friends who’ve cheered us on, and for Dr. Tim’s loyal patient community who remain the heartbeat of Paws Up. You are the reason we’re here, and the reason we keep building.

We’re busy behind the scenes, but wanted to give you this little update: we’re here, we’re working hard, and we’ll be opening our doors very soon. ✨

I can’t believe the days of building Paws Up are coming to an end…BUT, the end of this chapter means the beginning of the next: opening our doors and welcoming you in.

We’re so close, and we cannot wait to share it all with you.

There’s no better feeling than watching your vision come to life — from a spark of an idea, to scribbles on cocktail napkins, to a full-blown business plan… and now, to a physical space with our name on the facade.

Seeing officially go up on our nearly finished clinic feels surreal. What started as a concept is now a brand, a team, a community — and soon, a fully operational veterinary hospital.

We knew from the beginning that our name needed to feel synonymous with pets and veterinary medicine. Originally, we were planning to launch as a mobile clinic — so “Paws Up” was a play on “wheels up” — let’s go, we’re on the move. But as we evolved and reimagined the experience we wanted to create for pets and their people, the name stuck. It was simple, memorable, emotionally resonant — and scalable.

We built Paws Up with the intention to scale from day one.

At our core, we’re a preventive wellness and proactive care veterinary brand. That focus is, and always will be, the heartbeat of our business. Just as human healthcare has shifted toward prevention (& integrated) and continuity of care, veterinary medicine is moving in that direction — and we want to lead the way!

From that foundation, we’re expanding our ecosystem and building out our “Paws Up” brand. We’ve trademarked:
    •    Your Best Friend Deserves Forever Health™ — our guiding philosophy
    •    PawsOnCall™ for virtual care
    •    Paws Up Stay™ for grooming, daycare, and boarding
    •    And we have big plans to spin out additional specialty lines — including end-of-life care, to ensure dignity and compassion at every stage of the pet life cycle.

It’s always been about more than a single clinic.
It’s about building a brand, a philosophy, and a standard of care that pets and their families can trust — for life. It’s about building a more sustainable future for the veterinary workforce. It’s about innovating not just how patients receive care, but how we care for them, how our teams deliver care, and how our clients experience it every step of the way.

And seeing it all take shape? Unmatched. 🐾
