We are so sad to say goodbye to Dr. Schindewolf, who has been a wonderful part of our team here at Colonial Animal Hospital. Dr. Schindewolf is moving on to the next adventure in his life, and we are all so happy and excited for his next chapter. We are incredibly grateful for his dedication and care to his patients as well as his love and knowledge to all of us working here. Thank you for everything, Dr. Schindewolf, we will miss you !

Things that would typically be a technician appointment* in hospital are now available as an at home call. Our technicians can come right to your door to give your pets nail trims, injections such as cytopoint, solensia, librela, and vaccine boosters**.
Pets are required to be up to date on an exam and rabies vaccination for all technician house calls.

Have you ever wondered why your pet’s ear looks swollen after they’re shaking their head? These are some pictures of Kitten, a rescue cat, who has a hematoma on her right ear. A hematoma in a cat or dog is a collection of blood that pools outside of blood vessels, which is a painful, swollen lump. This starts most commonly when your pet is shaking their heads or scratching at their ears often. Removal consists of drainage and if left untreated, it can cause cauliflower ear, or deformation of the ear.
