Meet Skipper, our charming 1-year-old terrier mix who’s winning everyone over with her sweet and gentle personality! 💕 Skipper is still learning to trust the world around her, but once she feels safe with you, her playful, affectionate side shines through. A fast learner and incredibly food-motivated, Skipper makes training a breeze and loves bonding over tasty treats!
She adores the company of other dogs, especially during outdoor playtime, but prefers mealtime in the quiet comfort of her kennel. Skipper is also working on her house-training routine, and with a little patience, she’s making wonderful progress! 🏡 While she’s curious about cats (sometimes a little too much), she’s a good listener and responds well to gentle correction.
Skipper may be shy around new people, but with a calm approach and a little understanding, this sensitive soul warms up quickly and will be your loyal companion in no time. She’s still building confidence but loves chin scratches and thrives in a loving environment that respects her need for gradual trust-building.

Hailing from Colorado (and originally Florida), Lauren, Jon, and their two kids have created a joyful, animal-loving home filled with three dogs—Ghost, Anime, and Amara—and three cats—Figaro, Bruno, and the hilariously named Dave the Magical Cheese Wizard. Their house is equal parts playful chaos and unconditional love! When they’re not fostering, you’ll find them enjoying board games, movie nights, or shouting “PUPPPYYYYYY!” whenever they spot a dog in public. 🐕🎉 We are endlessly grateful for the love and dedication they pour into each foster. Tasty Treats Thursday: Homemade Dog Treats! 🐾🍠🍎
Treat your furry friend to something special with these homemade, healthy snacks made from fresh sweet potatoes, yams, or apples! These simple, oven-baked treats are sure to put a wag in any tail.
Instructions:
Pick Your Ingredient: Sweet potatoes, yams, or apples work great—choose your pup’s favorite!
Prep: Wash your chosen ingredient and remove any bad spots.
Slice: Cut into slices about ¼–3/8 inch thick.
Bake:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the slices on the sheet and bake in a 200°F oven.
Bake for 1 hour, then flip the slices over and bake for another hour.
Check & Continue: The slices should no longer feel damp but should still be pliable. If they need more time, flip the slices again and bake for additional 30-minute intervals until they bend without breaking and are no longer damp.
Store: Once cooled, store the treats in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate for several weeks or freeze and defrost as needed.
Your pup will love these wholesome, chewy goodies, and you can feel great knowing they’re made with love. Happy baking! 🐕❤️

This smart and food-motivated girl is making fantastic progress with her basic commands, and house training is nearly complete – she’s had only two small mishaps in the same spot! 🏠 Plus, her playful side shines in the yard, though she’s quick to adjust when playtime gets a little too exuberant.
Callie is a lover of people of all ages, but when it comes to meeting new doggy friends, she appreciates a slow and steady introduction. With her sweet nature, devotion, and playful energy, she’s ready to bring endless joy to her forever family.
