When you hear “Iditarod,” you might picture powerful sled dogs charging through snow-covered trails across Alaska. But did you know this epic race honors one of the most heroic canine efforts in history?

Back in 1925, teams of Siberian Huskies and their mushers carried lifesaving diphtheria medicine over nearly 700 miles from Nenana to Nome in a legendary relay run. Through brutal conditions and blizzard-level winds, these dogs pushed forward—saving lives and proving that true courage has four legs and a tail. 🐶🛷

Today’s Iditarod is a 1,000-mile celebration of that extraordinary journey, reminding us that Huskies weren’t just born to run—they were born to rescue.
