After 29 incredible years at our clinic, Dr. Flenniken is stepping back from his full-time role to enjoy more time with family and friends. Throughout the years, he has built strong, lasting relationships with both clients and their beloved pets, leaving a remarkable impact on our hospital and community.

While we’re sad to see him transition out of day-to-day practice, we’re thrilled that he’ll continue to support our team through occasional relief shifts. Meet Mash!

Mash is a 9 year old domestic longhair cat who graciously allows one of our CSRs, Tressa Lawlor, to live at his house. He spends the day lounging around and looks forward to dinner time. Mash's favorite toy is a little plush mouse that he carries around the house and his favorite treat is...well, everything.

We love Mash and are so happy to call him one of our patients (and that he lets his mom come to work)!

Meet Bailey!

Bailey is a typical 7 year old Australian Cattle Dog: she loves learning. Lately, her owner Becca has been playing hide and seek with Bailey's favorite toys, and Bailey is getting better and better at it! Her favorite toys are Mr. Cow, LambChops, and — her newest obsession — small squeaky tennis balls. Her favorite treat is Redbarn Bully Chips!

Bailey is intuitive, smart, adventurous, and we are so glad to call her a patient of ours.

As May is coming to an end, we want to highlight Arthritis Awareness month. Arthritis can show up in your pet in multiple ways: limping after exercise, struggling to rise or use stairs, feeling stiff, and even lagging behind on walks. It doesn't matter if your pet is young, arthritis can impact pets of all ages, sizes, and breeds. There are ways to manage the pain from arthritis for your pets, and our veterinarians are happy to see you and your pet to determine the best method of pain management.

One method is a monthly Librela injection for dogs. Two of our patients, Turbo and Burny, have a new "leash" on life after starting Librela. Their owner said that "they are finally able to enjoy their walks again."
