🎃🐰 KIT KAT HAD HER HALLOWEEN BABIES! 🤍

While everyone else was celebrating Halloween, Kit Kat was busy welcoming her own little pumpkins into the world! 🥹🎃

Unfortunately, this litter came with some heartbreak.

We had two babies born deceased, one peanut, and one little runt among the surviving babies.

For those unfamiliar with rabbit breeding, a peanut is a baby that inherits two copies of the dwarf gene. Unfortunately, true peanuts aren’t viable and typically pass away within the first few days of life.

A runt, on the other hand, is simply a baby that’s smaller than its littermates and can absolutely grow up healthy!

It’s one of the realities of raising Holland Lops that doesn’t always get talked about. Not every birth goes perfectly, and not every baby makes it.

As much as I love sharing all the adorable moments, I also believe in showing the realities of breeding.

We’re keeping a close eye on Kit Kat and her little ones, especially our tiny runt, and hoping for the best. 🤍

Send some love to Kit Kat and her Halloween babies! 🐰🎃

🐰🤍 MEET THE HERD — EPISODE 1!

After our full rabbitry tour, quite a few of you wanted to get to know the bunnies who call Redd Rose Hollow home!

So, we’re kicking things off with HARVEY! 🥹

Harvey is our handsome Vienna Carrier (VC) Black Magpie Holland Lop herd buck! 🖤🤍

He’s one of the boys behind some of the beautiful babies you’ve seen here at Redd Rose Hollow, and just LOOK at that fluffy face! 😍

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be introducing more of our residents so you can get to know who’s who around here!

And trust me, with this many bunnies, there are plenty of introductions to make. 😂

Who’s excited to meet the rest of the herd?! 🐰🤍

Happy Halloween everyone!
We had a litter born this afternoon and one of the kits is chilled so here we are breast-feeding and warming up a baby bunny.
Multitasking at its finest.

🐰🤍 WELCOME TO REDD ROSE HOLLOW!

After sharing two episodes of “Things in My Rabbitry That Just Make Sense,” I figured it was time to give everyone the FULL tour! 😂

We’ve made quite a few changes around here, and I’m always rearranging, improving, and finding new ways to make things easier for both myself and the bunnies.

Now, before anyone says anything… not every corner is going to be aesthetically pleasing. 🤣

This is a WORKING rabbitry! There are supplies, hay, cleaning equipment, things that still need organizing, and probably a few projects I’ll get around to eventually. 😂

It’s not a perfectly staged Pinterest rabbitry, and I’m perfectly okay with that!

My goal has always been to create a space that’s functional, manageable, and works well for the animals in my care. And of course, I still like making it pretty where I can. ✨🤍

Now that you’ve seen where all the magic (and p**p 💩) happens, I’m curious…

What would you like to see next?!

🐰 Meet the residents of Redd Rose Hollow! Individual bunny introductions, their names, personalities, and all their little quirks.

💧 Rabbitry tips, tricks, and DIY tutorials! How we built our automatic watering system, things we use daily, and what makes caring for everyone easier.

Or BOTH?! 😂

Let me know in the comments! I have plenty of bunnies to introduce and plenty of things I could show you how to do!

My goals have been to produce chocolate in both hollands and mini plush lops that match what I’m known for which is good type and temperament. I’m thrilled to say I am reaching my goals 🤗

Which baby is your favorite?
