🐴 Your horse deserves more than just a PEMF session.
I’m genuinely excited to see more horse owners taking their horses’ health, comfort, recovery, and overall wellness seriously. PEMF can be an incredible tool when it’s used appropriately—but that makes choosing the right practitioner incredibly important.
One thing that concerns me is seeing PEMF practitioners offering services without necessarily having the training, education, and certifications needed to properly understand what they’re doing.
PEMF isn’t simply a matter of putting a device on a horse and turning it on. More isn’t always better, and the wrong settings, placement, duration, or application may do more harm than good. Your practitioner should understand the horse’s anatomy, the purpose of the treatment, and how to appropriately adjust the treatment based on the individual horse.
So before you book, do your research. Ask questions.
❓ What training and certifications do they have?
❓ How much experience do they have working with horses?
❓ Do they understand equine anatomy?
❓ Can they explain what they’re doing and why?
❓ Are they willing to communicate with your veterinarian when appropriate?
And yes—ask your veterinarian if they have recommendations. A good practitioner should never be offended by you wanting to make an informed decision about your horse’s care.
Most importantly, remember that a good practitioner isn’t there simply to collect another paycheck. They’re there because they care about the horse in front of them and want to make sure that horse gets the safest, most appropriate, and most beneficial treatment possible.
Your horse can’t tell you whether their treatment is being done correctly.
That responsibility falls on us. ❤️
Do your homework. Ask questions. Use good judgment. Your horse is worth it.
