Ohhh man, the day has come for this young fella to rejoin his family! I couldn’t be more excited to share what Maximus and I learned together, and to set them up for a bright future ☀️🐾
When Maximus first came to us, for a lack of better words, he was out of control 😂 He wasn’t a dog I could allow around my 5 year old daughter…and not because he has a mean bone in his body because he doesn’t but because Maximus was the definition of a “wild child” 😂😂
I remember one of the first couple days, I was out back with the dogs and Maximus laid his eyes on me from about 20 feet away and began happily sprinting towards me. When he got to around 4/5 feet away, he sprung in the air towards my chest. This dudes an athlete so mid air, he rotated his body a bit and placed his rear paws to my chest and proceeded to Kangaroo 🦘 kick off me to go the other way. He landed back on the ground and looked at me with pure innocence, like wanna play!? 😂 Now, we can all imagine why this wouldn’t be acceptable around a young child.
Fast forward to today, and that same sweet little girl was heart broken that her buddy Maximus was leaving 🥹 The last couple weeks, they spent a lot of time around each other without me being around to make sure my daughter wouldn’t get trampled for fun 😜Maximus has a different approach to her now, plays differently with her than he does with me and that kind of stuff is what we believe quality dog training is all about! The chance of them having a relationship together was a dependent of training, and Maximus learning there is a time and a place for everything.
