Nose Work Classes – Intro to Master Starting July 13th
Scent Work is an activity and competitive dog sport that mimics professional detection work such as search-and-rescue and contraband detection dogs. It allows dogs to use their natural instincts while providing incredible mental stimulation and building confidence.
Dogs experience the world through their noses, and Scent Work turns that instinct into a rewarding game. It teaches dogs to identify specific target odors and work with their handlers to locate and indicate where those odors are hidden.
Why try Scent Work?• Mental stimulation and problem solving• Builds confidence in shy or reactive dogs• Strengthens the bond between dog and handler• Suitable for dogs of all ages • Learn how environmental factors such as wind and humidity affect scent
