Star was returned for being too much of a puppy. She’s sad about it, but Mellisa is doing her best to cheer her up.

“Lights, camera, action . . . It's Star!

She definitely is a rising star with her feisty personality and the cutest floppy ears. She is very sweet and affectionate.

She's still figuring out walking on the leash, but she loves being out and about. She will probably give you the cutest barks too, just to let you know she's the Star of the show.”

This giant boy truly deserves his name.

He’s a gentle giant, with a big block head that is full of sweetness.

He is all heart.

If you walk down our halls when no one is around you will hear a long and lonely howl. It’s not one of our hounds…it’s Saint.

He just misses having a person. And he doesn’t know what else to do.

TRAVIS’ TALL TAILS: DOLLIP

Are you interested in a dog who will both steal your heart, and possibly $20 from your wallet? If so, meet Dollip!

Dollip is (speculatively) a border collie, heeler, and Honda CR125 mix, estimated to be two years old, likely has undiagnosed ADHD, and weighs around 35 lbs (10 lbs. of which is probably smuggled dog biscuits from Morocco). She's claims to be from various exotic locations, but our research tells us she's probably from Hazelwood.

Dollip enjoys longbow archery, Brutalist architecture, doing Don Knotts impressions, and playing bass guitar in a death metal band called MOSHCLOTH.

Try a dollop of Dollip, swing by HCAS and see what all the fuss is about.

She is going to be a big girl, but don’t let her grow up in the shelter.

ADOPT ME: LYN

Lyn was too terrified to move when she first came in.

When we would sit with her in her kennel, she wanted to come up for affection but would get too afraid at the last second and turn away.

But she’s a brave little girl and has gotten over her fear of this place.

Now she comes out of her kennel because she just can’t wait to get loved on a second longer.
