K-9 Curriculum Dog training, grooming, nails and Dog toys and treats. Hi. My name is Lisa Monteith. I am the Owner, Trainer and Groomer at K-9 Curriculum, Inc.

I am a certified pet trainer and certified pet groomer. I am trained in Pet First Aid and CPR so whether your dog is training with me or being groomed they will be in good hands. I am a life-long animal lover and dog enthusiast. My motto is "The Best Things in Life Are Furry!" I was born in Asheville, North Carolina and raised in Glenville, North Carolina. I learned my love for animals from my Mom

and Dad. I have always dreamed of training and working with animals and thought its time to bring those dreams to life. I enrolled in the Penn Foster Grooming Program and the Dog Obedience Training Program at Animal Behavior College and here we go. . . When you think about all the dangers your dog could be exposed to in this world, it is hard to believe that the leading cause of dogs being surrendered to shelters and/or ultimately euthanized is behavior problems. Having a good relationship with your dog from the beginning, whether you get them as a puppy or adopt an older dog from a shelter is extremely important. K-9 Training Classes go along way to help you get this relationship off on the right paw.

The Maggie Valley Police Department has received a report about a missing person.
Carla Johana Valdivia-Gonzalez, 32, was last seen leaving her sister’s residence on Summit Drive in Maggie Valley ON FOOT yesterday afternoon wearing black pants, a black shirt, black shoes, and wearing glasses. Valdivia-Gonzalez is 5’8” and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She has long brown hair, brown eyes, an olive complexion, and a mole on her chin.

Wow!!! We at K-9 Curriculum are simply overwhelmed at the love and generosity of Country Lane Animal Hospital and their clients and our clients that filled our wishlist and then some. Together We Rise - Together We Heal. Because of each of you we will come back stronger.

🐶After losing everything in Hurricane Helene, Lisa has been tirelessly working—alongside an incredible team of friends and supporters—to reopen her grooming shop and training area to get back to doing what she loves. The finish line is in sight, but there are still essential supplies needed to make this dream a reality.

We are raising funds and collecting necessities—items we often overlook but are crucial to running a business, like brooms, mops, trash cans, and more. Every donation, big or small, will directly support Lisa as she takes these final steps toward reopening. 🧼

😭- 💔 Oh my heart - 10 + years of loving sweet Abbey. She was the best, happiest girl. She loved all her friends, doggos and hoomans. She was our resident scavenger. Brought us rocks and other things from outside and would take our brushes, toenails clippers and towels outside. She stole my purple paint brush I was using for touch up paint once and painted 3 or 4 of her friends. We will miss you so much sweet girl. Rest In Peace. We will see you over the rainbow bridge.
