The Clinton Animal Shelter/Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor is a 501c3 non for profit no kill animal shelter for cats and dogs. CARE was formed in Fall of 2007.

Started caring for the animal shelter December 4, 2007 and established a lease with the City of Clinton to operate the shelter through contract on March 1, 2008. The shelter operates as a no-kill facility to accept animals through Clinton Animal Control and also rescue inside and outside the city limits when space premits. The Director and CARE reserve the right to not accept your adoption applic

❤️❤️ Hey folks this is Sterling. He is ready for his furever home. Sterling has been in a foster home learning some commands and being with other pets big and small. He is house trained and crate trained. He is not a fan of cats. He is a handsome young boy. There are so many amazing qualities on Sterling we just can’t post them all. ❤️❤️ Hey folks meet Luna. Luna is our very scared girl at the shelter. We are looking for a foster or foster to adopt home. She is a wonderful girl just very timid. We really think once she is in a home where someone is home most of the time will show her what a loving home is all about. 🐾💙Meet Hank💙🐾

This boy is a love bug who is just so happy to get attention and love from people. Hank is definitely 100% sweetheart and would make an absolute wonderful edition to your family. Hank wouldn't mind a fur sibling at all or he would be happy being your one and only baby.

This 5 to 6 year old boy is a Boxer, Plott Hound mix who is not only sweet, he is laid back, low maintenance, loving, smart, cuddly, loves treats and more. He also has the cutest happy whole body wiggle when he gets excited.

As the year comes to an end we reflect on all of the homeless pets- both dogs and cats we were able to help this year. So many pets saved from bad situations, so many found wonderful new homes, but there are still so many more to help.

Thank you to everyone who is adopted, fostered, volunteered, donated to keep us going and more. We appreciate you more that what you will ever know.

Please keep sharing our posts and spreading the word about our homeless pets at the Clinton Animal Shelter. It takes all of us working together to help homeless pets.

Samson is quite the handsome boy …adopted in June 2025 from the Clinton Animal Shelter..doing great .. he hopes all of his friends in the shelter will be adopted this coming New Year 2026 … ps .. my mom made me wear the lights hehe 😜

😢Petey is still waiting.😢

The staff and volunteers are getting worried. Our sweet lover boy Petey is getting very sad at the shelter. He has been with us a long time waiting for his forever family. Petey did go out to a home but it was only for a few days and came back at no fault of his own. Sometimes, we need to realize it takes a little bit of time for them to adjust when they have been in the shelter environment without the consistent and constant love of a family.

Petey is a very good boy, he does have a little bit of energy and likes to take a run around the yard, he keeps a very clean kennel, is a very smart boy and likes to learn. He is a snuggler and would love nothing more than to find his forever family. Petey would be happy with a big family or even an individual to be somebody's best buddy. He wouldn't mind having the right for canine, friend but would also be happy being your one and only canine love.

Petey is between five and six years old and is a very handsome Terrier mix.

MISSING—CASH REWARD FOR RETURN! Charlotte missing since 7:30am 12/28/25 from farm on Fire Tower Ave, Lincoln, MO (off H Hwy past Butterfield Rd). She is fawn (tan) and white, has a collar and an airtag. She is microchipped. Extremely friendly, but partially deaf and almost blind. She is spayed & needs medication for other underlying health issues. She responds to Charlotte or Lettie. Please contact us if you see her or you find her. 💙Ali💙

Ali is a 3.5 to 4.5 year old Boxer/American Bulldog mix. He is such a good boy and he is actually a big loveable teddy bear! Ali loves everyone! He needs a proper meet and greet with other dogs as we require of all of our shelter pups but he really likes females. We even found out he likes to nuzzle with the kittens. He is a very smart, observant, house trained, handsome, well mannered, walks well on a leash, loves car rides, treats and is an all around wonderful boy. Ali does have some muscle to him but is very gentle. He is just the sweetest boy that just needs to get out of the shelter into a home. He would make a great best friend for someone or a new wonderful family member.

If you love animals, please come volunteer with us at the Clinton Animal Shelter! Being a non-profit we don't have a lot of money to hire employees so we rely heavily on our volunteers to keep us going.
