Emergency Rescue Alert: Meet Dagne!
This little warrior has endured multiple pregnancies in her 2 years of life, and they were not kind on her body. Unfortunately, we believe she may be pregnant again, but this time, with a possible life threatening hernia. Hernias happen when the muscle wall weakens and allows internal organs or tissues to pe*****te it. They're often caused by a traumatic injury or when the muscle is weakened for other reasons such as straining to go to the bathroom, chronic bloating, or pregnancy.
Despite everything, she is so sweet and deserves a fighting chance. We stepped in immediately, got her into a medical foster and Dagne’s urgent surgery to repair her hernia is scheduled for tomorrow thanks to the gracious help of Bering Sea Animal Clinic in Chugiak.
Her journey is far from over, and she needs your help to keep fighting. Her emergency surgery will come with unexpected costs, and we could really use donations to help cover
her care. Every single dollar makes a difference and allows us to keep saying "yes" to the most vulnerable lives!
Dagne literally means “the sun will come out tomorrow” and we would love for you to help us turn her life around so she could live out her namesake.
We are currently unsure of the exact costs associated with her condition, and we will update as we recieve information. We do know this will be, at minimum, several hundred dollars.
